The Sims Way of Life *The end*

Not sure if this has been done before but i'm basically just following what my sim does and write what i presume her opinions would be on what happens to her. I really liked the idea of this story when i started but now i'm concerned it may be a little boring. I'll put my story up so far and see what you readers think anyway so i really need feedback on this one :)

I've chosen to put it under comedy, it's not hilarious but it seemed the best fit at the time.

Here we go :

Chapter one:


Hi
My name is Emalita Rose and I’ve just bought a fully furnished little house in Simvalley Heights.

I just arrived here today and already I’ve found myself a job. No interview or anything!
I came here to break into the music industry but right now I need to start earning money so I’ve taken the position of ‘Adventurer!’ LOL
Well it was that or a drive through clerk.
It pays $172 a day so that’s not bad.

There’s a treadmill in my spare room and I was jogging on it when the neighbours came to introduce themselves.

What a nice impression on my first day here…or so I thought. Also I don’t mean to sound shallow but these people could do with a serious make-over.

Anyways I’ve barely finished shaking their hands before they invite themselves in! That’s not the ‘norm’ where I come from but I choose to go with the flow and make some lunch.

After we finish eating the lovely neighbours of mine leave their plates on the floor and start poking around my new home so I figure I’ll leave them to it and I go outside and lay on the front lawn for a bit.

I’m not usually such a doormat but I’m new to the area and haven’t sussed out the people or the town yet…I mean, they could be crazy for all I know. For now I’ll let them do their thing and maybe they will find nothing exciting to see, or steal, and be on their merry way.

So I’m laying on the lawn and some girl walks into my yard. Doesn’t say hello or anything just sighs, puts her hands on her hips and walks off?!?!

I get up, bewildered, go back inside only to find puddles of water all over the floor!!

Who are these people?? Who walks into your home uninvited, pokes around a bit and then start throwing water bombs at each other??

‘That’s it! Everybody out’ I yell.

Too bad if they’re crazy. First thing tomorrow I’m putting locks on my doors. But for now I think I’ll watch some TV and go to bed. I have an early start in the morning.

This uniform is so not me. Pity I can’t choose my own. This isn't exactly what i thought I'd be wearing on my first day as an Adventurer.

Well that wasn’t so bad. The car that picked me up and dropped me off was in bad shape though.

One week later..

I have a little bit of money in my savings account. I really need to start decorating this house. It could seriously do with some new furni and a plant or 2.

I’ve noticed the paper boy always hangs around. Maybe he’s lonely?

I’ve had the lounge and kitchen remodeled. It feels so much better in here now, more like home.

I finally have a ‘free’ day off today and I’m going clothes shopping! I badly need some new clothes and I haven’t had a chance to check out the town yet.

I met another neighbour today, April. Someone who didn’t just wander into my house uninvited. She actually smiled and waved.
She seemed ‘normal' enough so I took the risk and invited her in and made us some grilled cheese sandwiches.

April is a few years older than me, married to a guy named Pheonix and owns 2 dogs.
I gave her my impressions on the neighbours and she laughed, telling me I’ll get used to it, that it’s a sweet safe little town and the worst thing that’s ever happened is a few burglaries and the occasional fire usually started by someone burning their dinner.
Sounds like Pleasantville..
Well she seems nice enough I guess and I don’t know anyone else here. She did give me a cold though.

I’ve been promoted! To a spelunker ??!! Whatever that is.
All I know is I’ll be exploring dark caves throughout the world. Somehow all in an 8 hour shift. Well ..it will be an experience and it pays $225 a day and that’s nothing to sneeze at.

God I feel like crap
Can’t really call in sick, not on my first day as a Spelunker!

I was so tired when I got home I collapsed on the lounge and fell asleep in my uniform.

As much as I love my new house I’m feeling a little lonely. Not much on the ‘cute guy’ scene. I think I’ll buy a pet.

I think I’ll get a bird. At least I can teach it to talk and they don’t take too much to look after.

I bought a cage, made a quick phone call and I now have a beautiful parrot I named Piper.

Environmentalists let me drop into a cave today leaving me with a hospital bill of $275! Bastards!

I was thinking about telling them where to stick their job when they promoted me yet again!
A little change of pace, a deep sea excavator with a pay rise of $415 a day and a bonus of $830!

I bought a new bed with the bonus and finished redecorating my bedroom. I’m really not keen on the bed that was here on arrival. I mean..God knows where it’s been.

I’m bored. I mean, I know have an exciting job and all but I need a social life, I need to let my hair down!

I called April she say’s she’ll meet me at club called Coogie’s. Apparently it’s THE place to be. Probably because it’s the only one in town.

Now I can finally get the chance to wear the new outfit I bought recently. I’m so excited, I hope I look ok.

I meet April there and she’s wearing the exact same outfit I saw her in when we first met. Actually I wouldn’t call it an outfit it was just casual/everyday wear. Come to think of it, most of the other people there were dressed like that too.

This ‘big night out’ I had in mind didn’t exactly turn out that way. For one I seemed to be the only person dressed for the occasion. And 2 No-one else seemed to know what they were doing. It was like they’d never seen a dance floor before.
I got bored dancing by myself that I went for a drink at the bar.

April suggested we go and see what band was playing in the other room.
For a club that didn’t appear to attract many people it sure was massive.

The band was actually pretty good. Even better so was the guitarist :)

When the band had finished and was packing up I thought I’d try my luck back on the dance floor.
But another drink or 2 first.
Now I may be wrong but I think someone slipped something in my drink because I swear I saw a robot getting jiggy with it on the dance floor.

The night did pick up a little. Especially when Mr. Guitarist approached me :D

I couldn’t believe it. He strode right up to me took my hand, kissed it then said something along the lines of…'You’re the girl I’m going to marry’!

I wouldn’t normally fall for such a line but this guy was HOT!

I gave him a wink before rejoining April on the dance floor, but this guy persisted.
I eventually gave in when April went home and joined him in the lounge area. Turns out we had quite a lot in common. Particularly music of course.

I found out his name is Dave Valentine and he’s 25. He lives alone in a house owned by his Aunt who is currently touring the world , Manages a second hand record store and plays small gigs every other weekend.

Dave seemed like a genuine guy and I agreed to see him again. He gave me a gentle kiss goodnight and said he’d call me the next day.

When I got home I went to check on Piper, only to find her dead in her cage. Dead! I wasn’t gone that long and I made sure she was fed before I left. So much for not taking much to look after.

7.01 am I’m woken by the phone ringing . It was Dave telling me he couldn’t wait to see me again.

Said he couldn’t sleep properly because he was thinking about me all night. I told him to call me back at a reasonable hour.
Yes I know it was sweet and all but I am so not a morning person. Plus my bird had just died. I also had to work today and I was feeling pretty hung over.

It had snowed while I was at work and upon my return I find a spa bath sitting right there on the snow covered front lawn. Is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture?

A bunch of roses are beside it with a note which reads something about a dream date and a little gift.
Little!!
There’s nothing little about a spa bath sitting on one’s front lawn.
I turn to go inside wondering what the hell I’m going to do with this spa, It certainly won’t fit in my bathroom that’s for sure, when I notice the paper boy doing his route as usual. Only this time it’s the middle of winter and he’s wearing his usual shorts and shirt. No Jacket, no gloves, not even a pair of ear muffs.

Crap as usual. All there was today was a career in politics or a pickpocket!

This morning I decided, after much pestering from Dave, to take the day off and spend it with him.

We’re meeting up for coffee first then catching a movie.

As usual there was a spot waiting for me right out front. I honestly can’t complain about that!


While we’re waiting to be served at the café I notice a cat roaming around. Call me uptight but I find that a tad unhygienic. We figured it must be the owners and he (the cat) was pretty friendly so we took a seat at a nearby table.

We’d barely sat down 5 minutes before a complete stranger pulls up a chair and joins us! Now there’s 3 other tables in the coffee shop and more outside so why sit at ours?

I don’t know..Maybe I’m more uptight than I thought I was and the townies here are just friendly?
Dave must have seen the look on my face and suggested we move to one of the tables or benches outside.
It had just come into spring and was reasonably warm outside.

I don’t know what they put in their coffee but at soon as I finished one cup I immediately wanted another one!
They also gave me a bad case of the shakes.

Dave noticed this and suggested we skip the movie and go back to his place where he would cook me dinner.

Dave didn’t strike me as a cook. So this could be interesting…

Back at Dave’s he told me to make myself comfortable while he had a shower.
His place was pretty nice actually, for a man. Tidy too. Definitely a male abode but tastefully decorated.

Once Dave had showered and dressed he began cooking.
I offered to give him a hand but he insisted he had it under control. So I sat at the table and we chatted while he cooked and I watched.

I have to admit, the meal was beautiful….and so was the company. Dave was a true gentleman. I could see he wanted to impress me..and he did!

After dinner Dave lit the fire in the fireplace and we spent the rest of the evening talking on the lounge. We have so much in common. Conversation flowed easily without any real effort at all.

When it was time to leave Dave walked me outside and kissed me, only this time it was passionate and romantic.

I left on a high feeling giddy and lightheaded. And to top it all off nothing weird happened to ruin it! I think I may have met the only normal person living in Simvalley Heights.

I know you said you thought the 'sim's way of life' idea might be boring, and I think the idea certainly could be, but the way you've woven it into a story and made it actually just incidental and part of your character's impressions of her new home makes it work really well. This is an adorable story and I like it a lot.

Today I had to go on a deep sea hunt to search for some idiot Le Foog who got himself lost at sea. I take a diving expert with me and we end up somehow entangled. Who should come to our rescue but Le Foog himself!
And for some reason this totally embarrasses the ministry of adventure and they fire me!

I was completely humiliated! And to top things off that darn dog had dug up my front lawn again. I haven't actually caught it in the act yet so at least i hope it's a dog!

I worked up quite a sweat after that. I think I’ll take a nice long bubble bath and have some dinner.


I’m getting a bit sick of TV dinners. I wonder if I could squeeze a table in and have some people over and cook a real meal.

So we’re sitting in the lounge after dinner and April comes up with this outrageous idea to go roller-skating!
Now let me warn you, by now it’s 11pm, and we’d all had a few drinks. But I’m always up for a bit of fun :D

I mumbled something back as I took a seat at the bench.

I was still picking at my food when Dave finished his and got up to leave for work giving me a kiss goodbye and telling me to be a good girl and eat my breakfast. He was a shit stirrer. But a sweet one.

No, I never killed her. I just happened to find some time ago that there's a "Margaret Landgrabb" as one of the sims in my neighborhood that can be revived. I wasn't playing as Malcolm at the time so she's still dead in my game at the moment.

When I got home from work today I was stuffed. Couldn’t be bothered cooking for one tonight so I grabbed a packet of chips for dinner.

I’ve been working in the record store a while now and they’re telling me I need to be more creative, so I bought myself a karaoke machine and an easel.

I can sing ok but I’ve never attempted painting before.

Dave’s away teaching at a summer camp and I really miss him. He’s my sanity in this place. Actually, he’s the reason I’m still here.

We just get along so well and have so much fun together. Whether it’s playing video games for a laugh..

Being apart from him has made me realize just how much he means to me. He’s my best friend in every sense of the word.

I’ve taken a week’s holiday so Dave and I can spend the last week of summer together.
I was driving to his place when I saw they’d put up a swimming pool.

We ended up spending the entire day there! We swam, played Marco polo, sunbaked. No-one else even dipped their feet in the water. Were they too good for the pool or something? I think I saw no more than 2 people actually get into the water the whole day. They didn’t know what they were missing.

When we did get out of the water we went and sat under the shade to have lunch. I’m slowly getting used to other people joining in our conversations and I don’t always mind so much. Besides, it’s not constant so Dave and I still get to have our own conversations too.

While we were eating though I did see the reason no-one else was swimming.
Yep, they were selling coffee inside the kiosk.
I tell you, after that last place, I stay away from that stuff now. There’s truly some wicked ingredient in their coffee.

It was getting late in the afternoon and had started raining when we finally decided to leave. We had plans to eat out at a restaurant tonight and I needed to go home and get changed.
Dave rides a motorbike and needed to drop it off so I said I’d pick him up once I was ready.

I'd be able to write so much more if it didn't take half hour to load each screen. Sending her to a community lot takes me pretty much the whole day to do. I have to do things in between like cook dinner, hang washing etc otherwise i'd go mad

She’s down to earth, unpretentious, fun, and she makes me happy…and she never takes my ribbing to heart.

I moved here to house sit for my aunt, just a few months before Em moved here so I’m, like her, still adjusting to this strange little neighbourhood.

As you may know, I play lead guitar in a band and play most weekends. Em comes along when she can. She shares the same passion for music I do. And whenever she’s there I just watch her…It’s as if she’s the only person in the whole place.

I tried ignoring him for a bit but he was happy to frolic around outside so I thought if I play with him a bit he might get the attention he obviously wants and then go home.

I told Dave I’d pick him up at 6 and it’s already 5 past and I’ve not even showered or changed!

I think I’ve just had my quickest shower ever. Well I guess this will have to do, Dave will be wondering where the hell I am.

No No No ! That's not the end LOL I've just incorporated a bit of a story into it so things make more sense. I'm moving them so it's a loooong process on my computer :) won't be too long getting some more chapters up hopefully.

My computer can't handle the sims atm and I'm doing some sorting with Delphy's wonderful Download organizer and moving some files out to hopefully speed things up a bit.
I think i might get a loan and just buy a top of the line computer that can handle the game lol...seriously..i don't think i can live without sims and that's sad.

I'm going away for a week to South Australia so i won't be able to update, but here's a little something until i get back

Emalita and I both love Asian food and I found this cool restaurant when I was riding past recently.
Em said how gorgeous it was as we stood on one of the bridges and looked into the ponds below.

I didn’t dress up for the occasion because Emalita would have clicked right away that something was up. She looked beautiful as always even if she was paranoid her hair still smelled of chlorine…she worries too much sometimes.

We were shown to our seats immediately and the first thing we noticed was the menu…It’s always the same! We’ve been to few different eateries now and each one serves exactly the same meals.

Emalita and I looked at eachother and raised our brows ‘Fillet Mignon then’ She laughed.
At least the food tasted good.

Em loves to watch other people. This town fascinates her. It fascinates me too! Neither of us have worked out if we like it or not. Em says it sometimes reminds her of the movie Stepford Wives.

I could see Emalita watching people enter the restaurant out of the corner of her eye. She giggles sometimes and her reactions always make me laugh. A man walked in waiting to be seated wearing shorts and socks pulled up to his knees and Em whispers to me ‘Is that your grandad?’ I almost choked on my steak.

The whole time all I could think about was the ring box in my pocket. I couldn’t finish my meal …I couldn’t wait any longer.

I leant forward and asked Em if she remembered the first thing I said to her when we met. Of course she did so I pulled out the box….’well?’

I actually live in Australia i just went to another state...i had only ever been to one other state before so i eventually want to work my way around my own country :)
obviously i'm back (and stuffed-got home around 2 hours ago) so hopefully i can play my sims tonight or tomorrow....having withdrawals....need to check out the updates pages too see what new stuff i can squeeze into my DL folder and make my game run even slower :(

Dave and I bought a house together a few blocks away from my old place. It’s a bit large for us right now but there wasn’t much else on the market, and who knows? Maybe the extra room will come in handy in the near future.

I do find that to be a friendly gesture, apart from certain issues I had last time. I was a little apprehensive at first but I did invite them in for hot chocolate. There was no way I was offering them coffee! That stuff is banned from our house!

I’d go and see a doctor but there doesn’t seem to be any around here. Which to be honest, I find a little frightening!
I have heard somewhere that I can grow my own fruit and veg which helps a cold but I don’t have a green thumb.

Great updates! Yeah, it is a bit disturbing that there's no doctors when you think about it, the sims have to rely on the player to get better. Of course storywise no one's directly controlling Em and Dave so it's even weirder!

Happy to see people are still reading :D I've had some serious issues with the game ie: crashing, not opening at all. It took me a full day following a tut to rectify the problem but before that i thought it may have been the lot so i moved them out and built a new one..anyway...fingers crossed it's all fixed and back to normal...also i forgot to change camera settings so the pics for this chapter will be smaller than usual...sorry

We found our house to be too much to look after so we moved, yet again, into a smaller, more comfortable house. Smaller than the last house but bigger than our previous houses. This one is just right and it’s on a large lot so there’s room to extend if we need to.

So anyway I was determined to have my housewarming party so I called up some friends and neighbours and we fired up the BBQ.
I also bought this game called ‘Myshuno’. There wasn’t a whole lot of games to choose from, from the catalogue. Mainly 2 player board games and darts pffft, fun. Myshuno was basically the only game for more than 2 players and from the look of it it’s just an alternative version of bingo.
Turned out to be a huge hit with my guests!

This is a really good story starwyn. I really like it, very original. I love all the references to stupid sim things like the paper cups. An hour to pick them up, that's awful. And those dumb dogs digging up the yard no matter where she lives, I feel sorry for Em. Her and Dave make a good couple.

One of the things I liked about this house was that down in the back corner there was a little greenhouse which I planted some tomatoes in. Like I said before, I have a black thumb so we’ll have to see how that goes.
On the other side of the yard are some fruit trees which will come in handy with all these colds I keep getting.
I have the day off so I’m spraying them for bugs, they’re looking a bit unhealthy.

Getting 2 big boisterous dogs who had been trapped in a cage for god knows how long and into the car was fun-not. The female jumped directly into the front seat with me and poor Dave had to sit in the back with the other one. It was a relief when we got them home.

We’ve named the dogs Ariel and Rekus and we’ve been keen to start them breeding until we discovered they are both female!

Dave comes out, still in his undies and says if I’m gonna start the day in my undies then so is he. Even better, he says, we should make one day a week, undies day and spend the entire day in them.

I love the story so far I think that they should keep both females and just buy another dog that way you could have pups with one female and then have more pups with the other. I mean they I'm sure have bonded with the dogs.That is if only they could handle 3 dogs plus puppies but they could make some money. I've realized being a single mum with 3 kids, a part-time job and the painstaking effort in creating a 'this is your life' dvd for my mums 50th is more time consuming than i expected *sigh* i'm only really getting the chance to play on weekends so i promise to update every weekend at least. If my game ran quicker i'd be able to play so much more... :(
maybe if i flirt with the postie he'll bring me a nice big check so i can buy a new computer :lol:

I think it's a GeForce.... ya know.... i can't remember, but i always sharpen my pics before posting and sometimes adjust the contrast. Your graphics card will only run as good as your computer is...does that make sense?
So even if you have a fantastic graphics card and a crap computer, it still won't look that good....i really need a better computer


My game keeps crashing :( I don't know why, i thought i fixed it but it's happening again but so far it's only been happening at one of my sims houses so later i will move them out and back in to see if that helps *fingers crossed*

They’ve made me a judge for ‘battle of the bands’! The summer camp coordinator liked my work so much he put a good word in for me. I’m really excited apart from the fact I have to start tonight!

Dave thinks that’s really unfair of them and says I should have asked to start tomorrow instead but that wouldn’t make a very good impression I argue.

I know he’s right because I don’t even have time to grab something to eat before I have to head off again. I barely had time to get change before the carpool was outside honking for me to hurry up.
I climb in wishing I didn’t have that ban on coffee in my house. It may have come in very useful right about now.

Dave waited up until I got home and offered to run me a hot bath. He’s so good to me.
I sat down beside him on the couch and told him he’s too good to me.
I’m still on a bit of a high from my first night as a judge; it didn’t seem like work at all. There are some really great bands out there and I had one of the best seats in the house.
My life is so good right now, I love having someone to come home to.

I hoped Pheonix wasn’t there or I might blast him for that remark he made to me on the phone last night.
April said he had a new job as a noob in the gaming career and I’m sure she said his hours were 9 to 5.

April saw me walk up the drive and came outside to greet me.
‘Hi sweetie, I haven’t seen you for a few weeks, was starting to get worried about you’
‘I called last night, didn’t Pheonix tell you?’

Apparently he hadn’t. Maybe he thought I was someone else?

I chatted with April about my dog dilemma. Telling her how I don’t want to take one of them back to that pet store and I’m actually growing quite attached to them now anyway but I did have my heart set on a puppy. So what do I do?

April was kind enough to offer to take one of them off my hands. She loves animals but she already has 2 of her own. I really couldn’t dump another one on her, even if she was trying to convince me otherwise.

We mulled over a few options but in the end I decided we’d just keep things the way they are. At least for now.
The more we talked about the issue the more I realized how silly the whole thing seemed. I had 2 great dogs and puppies grow so quickly that they don’t stay puppies for long anyway.

Had a bit of a scare last night.
Dave and I had gone to bed early when around 3am I woke to the alarm going off and Ariel howling. A burglar was in our bedroom about to grab the plasma off the wall!
Before I even knew what was going on a police officer came running in.

Next thing you know the burglar and the officer are in a huge brawl. I stood there beside the bed not knowing WHAT to do when Dave grabbed me by the arm and pulled my out of the room.
We stood there frozen to the spot, watching with fascination as they fought and wondered if we should call for back up. There was dust flying everywhere. It looked like a wrestling match. For a minute there we thought the burglar had him!

Thankfully the officer managed to get a pair of handcuffs off him and walk him to the car. All the while Dave and I stood there like a pair of idiots just staring.
Neither of us have come across anything like that in this town before. We’ve also never known of police to respond to a signal so fast. We weren’t even out of bed!

Once the police officer had the burglar in the car and under control he came back to reward us with $500! Apparently they’d been trying to track this crim down for months.

Neither of us could go back to sleep after that, as much as we tried.

I think we managed to doze off eventually but Dave got up a few times. I asked if he was ok and he answered me with a hmm. He looked pretty down to me.

Once he left for work I showered and made myself some breakfast. I was fine earlier but now I can’t get last nights incident out of my mind.
I was beginning to feel jumpy and anxious whenever I heard a noise.

I have bad news. My game wouldn't load my neighbourhood properly so i followed the tut on solving the problem and it was with my neighbourhood :( Once i removed the neighbourhood everything else seems to work fine which means i have lost all my lots and families including Dave and Emalita :( I had grown to really like my sims so i'm really upset about it. I also had genuine plans to finish the story...they still had to throw a wedding party and have kids! I was all ready for it once i got a puppy from April.
So anyways i would like to say a HUGE Thanks to all my readers. I really appreciate all your comments and feedback...maybe one day if i could be bothered trying to recreate my sims to get back to where they are, or rather were, and finish the story, but that could take a long time...sorry guys

I spent this whole day building another house, from scratch. couldn't find what i was looking for. Anyway the game is still pausing now and again, i can't refrain from using custom content, it's just not personalized without it so i've deleted heaps of sunair's stuff, they have really high polys and i had another set that was 60 meg lol so hopefully this time around *sigh* fingers crossed. If it doesn't work this time then i'll have to end it or i waste too much time on it...
have to build relationships and get job status back to where it all was when i lost it and then i can continue :)

After the robbery I didn’t feel safe in our house anymore. To make matters worse Rekus went missing and if that wasn’t bad enough, April and Pheonix separated and April moved away.

Everytime we’d settle into a new house something would go wrong so we gave up on the town and moved to a completely new one.

We’d heard about a nice country town called RiverBlossom Hills so we sold up our house fully furnished and moved here.
We moved into 12 Greenacre Drive in the middle of summer last year and and things have really turned around for us.

We looked at a few houses before deciding on this one. It’s a little small but we loved it so much we just had to buy it. The real seller was the view from the dining room.

We adopted another dog to keep Ariel company. We got a male this time, A rottweiler we named Jaxon.
He’s funny. Runs all over the house for no apparent reason and sings along to the stereo.

Dave got a job as a studio musician working 4 or 5 nights a week and finally has some colour in his skin now that he see’s daylight more often.
He’s changed a little since I met him, but he looks so good now I can’t keep my hands of him.

I’m not working at the moment. I needed some time off and Dave has been really supportive.
He says it will give me time to prepare for our wedding without getting too stressed out. Since he can’t always be there while I’m making arrangements he feels it isn’t fair on me to take everything on alone.

We’ve met a few good people since we moved here, one girl in particular Jane makes me laugh. She’s fairly new to the area and points out all the same things I did when I moved to Simvalley Heights.
She’s really pretty too ( credits to Pussycat for sharing her gorgeous sim with me)

In the wee hours of this wintery cold morning I heard howling from outside. Not fully awake I quickly rugged up and ran outside, concerned for the dogs, and there was Ariel giving birth to her first litter.

Maybe my eyesight hasn’t adjusted yet because I swear there’s magical little lights glowing around her.

I wouldn’t have known Ariel had just had a litter of three they way she was back on her feet immediately. I can’t believe I didn’t know she was pregnant! She didn’t get any bigger, not that I noticed anyway.

The dog bowls we have are so big they almost fall into them when they eat, it’s really funny. We had to buy another kennel and an extra bed which is in the dining room with the other 2 beds. They all nap at different times so it works out ok for now, or until they get bigger.

hmm thanks lol, no that's cool. It's not really meant to be creative as such. I'm just following what the sims do really and limiting cheats etc but putting across a 'sims' point of view, or what it would be like to live there? It's meant to be light, funny and a bit tongue in cheek, hope it's coming across that way :)

It’s been a month since we gave the puppies away. It was really horrible watching them being taken away.
I was moping around the house when Dave suggested I call Jane for a sleepover so I didn’t have to be alone while he’s at work tonight.

Dave had the car so we caught a cab to the salon.
When we get there the first thing I notice is 3 hairdressers standing at empty chairs-not a good sign.

Jane jumps into the first chair while I’m more apprehensive.
Other people start to enter the shop but none of them none of them sit in the chairs. They just wander around.
I tentatively walk over and take a seat in the second chair. Looking over at Jane I see bit’s of hair flying everywhere. I can’t even see her head because it’s immersed in a cloud of pink hairspray.

By the way, I like dhearing how you come up with names. All of my frienda and most of my friends of freinds have dull, normal names... So I use words backwards, its really sad. Larimda is one of the charachters in my novel, that's admiral spelled backwards, and there are even worse ones that I would prefer not to put out there lol. I wish I knew people with cool names.

ok i'll wipe out the next chapter and just go straight to the wedding if you want? Didn't mean to bore anybody :( but that's ok, i need to know these things. I put the fillers in so everything makes sense and so the chapters don't 'jump'

I guess I'm a little late at starting this, but I just read what you have so far. I don't really mind the fillers, they add to the background. Fillers are a neccessity(sp?) in stories, just not to many. I can't wait to see the wedding, I bet she will look beautiful!

I was up too late last night ingame. All the extra CC and visitors or rather guests slowed the game down like you wouldn't belive. The actual wedding started at 10pm my time last night till 1.30am, yep, that's how long it took me lol because of how slow it went so i basically took oodles of pics and i'll put it all together later. Probably not today tho lol. I will warn, i don't think the wedding chapter will be very exciting (i'm so great at selling my story aren't i) but i'll let you readers be the judge of that when it's up :)
