Rise Against, Secondhand Serenade, Owl City, Alexisonfire (not City and Colours)... it's endless.
Do you have a burning hate for shitty music that purposely toys with the fluttery emotions of the low-esteemed 12 year olds (at heart) of society? Post your rants here.

Id have too disagree with you about Alexisonfire, ive been to see them live each time they have come to my city. I think they are really good, i dont think they are for 12 year olds. Most of the people that went were almost adult. They have quite a following here. Is there any other reason why you do not like them??

I'd have to disagree with this as well. Just because some people aren't into these bands don't necessarily make their music "shitty" and not everyone who likes them is a 12-year-old.
And even then, is there anything wrong with 12-year-olds listening to certain types of music? Have we not all gone through that stage in our lives when we needed bands like these to relate to? Have we not experienced "fluttery emotions" at some point?
Just something to think about.

I always, ALWAYS find music snobbery funny
Rap is for the brainless! Metal is for the devil! Pop is for the drunk! Indie music is for hippies! Music is supposed to be entertaining, you know for fun, it doesn’t need to be deep or eye opening or anything but entertaining for someone.
I watched Yes Man, Jim Carrey’s’ love interest was in a terrible band in my opinion but hey she had 6 loyal fans so why not...they liked it, she liked doing what she was doing all was right with the world. Yes I know it was just a movie but pretend for a min that that was a real band...music is like poetry, art, literature...you like what you like and other people like what they like, let’s let go of the hierarchies ok?

Not really no.
Not unless you can empathize/sympathize with the feelings associated with that kind of music.
I need music like this.
I love Alexisonfire.
However, I'm not much into Secondhand Serenade and all the rest of that junk.
MOST of this music is pretentious shit. There are only a few that stand out to me.
EDIT: I didn't finish. :P
But you're making a huge, unnecessary generalization.
I say all the time that i hate rap music, rap music is siht, etc, when I know that there are a few songs I like.
So I've changed my whole musical philosophy.
There is a huge section of the whole of the Rock genre that I just don't understand, and can't get into.
But that doesn't mean that ALL of it is shitty.
