I hope this is an acceptable location for this :|

I have a question aimed at laptop-users like myself. I've been wanting to purchases Seasons, but I'm wary. Supposedly, I should have a 2.4GHz processor (because I have an integrated graphics chipset) but my speed is 1.8GHz and...well, I have a chipset. When I played TS2 on my laptop before, everything ran smoothly and I could even have reflections turned on and high Sim-detail. And lots of CC. It only really lagged when loading community lots. This time, when I reinstall the games, I won't be having as much CC.

So, in short, I just want to know what kind of experience fellow laptop-users have had with Seasons installed. I'll also have Uni, NL, FT and AL installed. Do you think my computer would be twitching from the start, or would it be able to hang in there for a while? ;) By the way, Seasons is the only EP I'd be willing to give up.

Sorry I'm so long-winded!! :jest: But if anyone thinks I should give it a try or just avoid Seasons altogether, please let me know!

I have Seasons on a laptop and sometimes it runs slow loading lots, but other than that, it works great! the processor speed is 1.5 gHz. I also have CS, Uni, and NL installed.

My friend has Seasons on her laptop and her only issues are that she has had to limit EPs and SPs (which is okay because she also has a desktop she plays on) and that it lags when it rains.

I am using a laptop ...Dual Core ; Intel Pentium 2.0ghz , 2gig of RAM [planning add 1gig] ... and uhmmm..i have in my laptop Sims 2 double deluxe[Celebration Stuff and Nightlife included], expansion packs of: Bon Voyage,Pets, Seasons, Apartment life, Open for business, and university...and additional sims 2 family fun stuff, and glamour life stuff and happy holidays...well im playing on smoothly and loads a lil slower than Sims 3...and lags a lil sometimes specially when I am at a community lot with a very large buildings ... well i think that is because my laptop has a built in Video Card... and as we all know Sims 2 needs a high performance video card like Nvidia, Radeon and so on...so what i did is instead of having just 1gig RAM memory ,..I made it to 2gig... and planning to make it 3gig... I want "no lag" ... i hate lags...like others do  :D

Thanks, guys :) You've helped me decide to go ahead and get Seasons! I'm pretty excited! I'll also be upgrading my RAM to 3gb, so here's hoping everything will run smoothly ;)

One of the main issues here is the video chipset. An ATI or NVIDIA video chipset is going to be loads better for gaming than an Intel video chipset.

yea agrees 100%... i wish i had bought a laptop with a ATI or NVIDIA video card... i never thought of it in the first place... *sigh*
