Hi everyone,
I have read guides about building a roof onto my houses, and I have looked in the FAQs and game help section, but I can't seem to find the answer to my problem, which is simply that the roof does not appear!

When a click on a roof with autoroof on, or if i make one manually, I can see the triangular parts of the wall on which the roof is supposed to sit, but there are no tiles, I can just see straight through into the house!

It's probably something simple that I am doing wrong but it's bothering me because I have to just put a flat roof on all my houses, which is pretty boring.
There are roofs on the pre-built houses, why not mine?

Help!
Thanks
Shloobi

Have you tried clicking the 'go up a floor' icon?

Pretty sure it's a common bug. As I've never had this problem I can't really help you in fixing it, if there even IS a fix, however I can assure you you're not alone in your battles with invisible roofs (is roofs right? it looks wrong...hmm...).

This missing roof problem is probably caused by a graphic card that is slightly below the specifications of what the game needs. Mine used to had that same problem back when I was using the onboard Intel graphics, but after buying a standalone graphics card the problem disappeared.

Have you downloaded the latest patch for the game? It fixed a lot of the graphics card issues people were having (me being one of them :D . and now i got a upload with a roof!! :))

I tried making a courtyard too. I think the "O" shaped courtyard is impossible. But the "C" shaped courtyard works (n.n) By "C", I meant there's a small opening somewhere. The entire first and second floors are completely enclosed by walls. Like a sausage bent so that the ends would meet =3 you can use some tiles and balustrades to join the two ends together. Hehe.
