Missing children

The last two families I have played I have had something weird happen: my toddlers grow in to kids and after a couple of days of going to school and everything being normal they just don't come home. I have no idea what happens to them. They are still in my friends list but they cease to be on the family sim toggle and I can't phone them or anything. :cry:

Has this happened to anyone else? I only ask because I know some people have issues with toddlers on community lots and thought this might be similar(?) It's really frustrating :help:

I just got help for a similar problem and was advised to download twallans super computer :

In some cases of missing sims you can just go to edit town and if the kid shows up in the family you can move him/her to the clipboard and back.

i have not heard of this -- but you might try removing all of your mods/hacks and see if that helps. Perhaps there is a conflict somewhere.

It happened to me also. My first born kid just up and disappeared shortly after turning into a toddler. Then, after I had another boy the first one somehow came back into the game. Then I had two boys with the same name :-( Somebody call Orkin!

If it doesn't work I'm considering just re-installing everything since this is just one of several unresolved issues I have developed (I tried playing with no mods or downloads at all for a few days but it didn't help)
