As we all know, TS3 tools coming out at lightning speed. I had to constantly update s3pe, s3oc, Postal, etc... It is a very good thing. The creators should get paid well for this.

The problem is file association. I normally associate .package with either CTU, Postal, or S3PE. Before you ask, the reason I associate with CTU was so that I could open CAS package fast. All other associations allow me to right click and "Open with".

The problem is whenever I download a version, and attempt to associate .package files with a newer version of any of these tools. Vista somehow acknowledged the association but still use old version to open it. Then, I just deleted the old versions. At this point Vista just breaks my association, no matter how many times I try to assign it.

Have someone run into this little problem?

I believe if it is a program file you have to have administative privilege or you can't change anything.

If you use the self-installing download, it should overwrite your old version so there won't an old version for it to associate with. Also remember to tick the file associations box during the installation, as it becomes unassociated during the uninstallation of the old version.
