Making a skintone, but having a problem...

Just when I think I've got it, I upload my skin into my game & it's unclear and kinda blurry. Same with if I recolor eyes or something. I thought about sharpening the image...would that work do you think?

It's upsetting to watch my failures pile up...when the first & last aren't ANY different. Meaning I haven't been able to improve anything! Grr.

Otherwise, yeah, maybe it is the textures you're making. You could try the sharpening thing, or try posting your bmps here for some specific pointers. :)

Thanks! :) Also, I'm trying to add more shine to my skintone. It's not working out as well as I hoped. To make it look shiny, don't you lighten the area? Maybe I'm doing it wrong...any help?
