View Full Version : My sim runs EVERYWHERE now.

Let me just say I googled and searched this site for over an hour before finally posting this, as I've only found a couple of other people with my problem and have found no solution or even theories as to the cause.

My single sim hit it off with a girl in China, married her and brought her home with him. Her name is Hui Young something-or-other and she's one of the people you talk to on one of the quests. Everything was normal until the couple went to Egypt. Now, for no apparent reason at all, Hui Young runs absolutely everywhere. Indoors, outdoors, even when carrying food to the table to eat. She won't go a single step without running. Even when I click somewhere and choose "go here/walk" she STILL runs.

I have no hacks. The only cc I have are clothes, some furniture and hair. I removed all clutter/plant items after some of them destroyed so many people's neighborhoods. I've tried using the "resetsim" command to no avail. I've tried exiting and restarting the game. I've fooled around with the dresser and mirror, thinking maybe it had something to do with changing her hair and clothing. Nothing has made a difference; she still runs everywhere like she's on a crack high.

My guess is that going on vacation somehow triggered this because it didn't happen until she arrived in Egypt. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it because she was an adventure-giver or because she's foreign? If so, why would Maxis even allow sims to propose to foreigners?

I can't recall off the top of my head - what are her traits? Is she athletic with high martial arts skill?

She doesn't have any traits that involve martial arts and she's currently a green belt. I have a sim who's athletic and has her skill maxed out but she doesn't run everywhere like this. It's very odd. She didn't start doing this until after arriving in Egypt.

The problem fixed itself after the couple returned home to Riverview. I still don't know if it had something to do with her being a foreigner or just a random glitch, but after coming home she resumed her normal walk/run pace, thank goodness. It wasn't game-breaking but it sure was annoying.
