Making a skin but need some help

I plan on doing a reptile skin very soon but I'm having a bit of a problem. I am painting the skin on the regular maxis skin tone (what other to use?) and everytime I look at it in Bodyshop it always looks off. This really bugs me. I was wondering where in the world could I find the UV maps of the regular sims. Help please :c it wiould really help.

What do you mean by ''looks off''? It doesn't match up right? Or something else.

Like the front side won't really look like it matches the back...it's weird. I don't know if it's support to happen or not.
