Firstly, I appreciate the good building tutorials and have been practicing. I have created a usable sc4 terrain for a tropical neighborhood. I have searched the site for creating a theme and although it is not a typical build question I would greatly appreciate some direction on how to 'dress' and keep the neighborhood in a 'consistent' format. I haven't found a tutorial and perhaps what I am looking for seems too ambiguous.

What I am asking,
What are the considerations to take when building your neighborhood?
Setting the weather, the decoration and the community buildings and the little things that make it realistic.

Please forgive this if it is misplaced or seems shallow, but looking at neighborhoods like Whitewater and Someplace Else makes me wonder at the thought process and what I, myself should be thinking as I plan my own neighborhood.

Thank you for any consideration,
Cdanon.

Hmmm .. do you mean "Elsewhere" with "Someplace Else"? =)

If so, there's not really any secret to it – just pick a theme and stick with it. I guess the most important thing is not to worry about how it might be "boring", seeing as in the real world buildings also tend to look similar (i.e. you don't normally see a cinderella castle type house next to a tuscan farm next to a tudor shed). Having it all in the same style, or perhaps working with clear subdivisions (tiny tudors in one corner, modern city buildings in the other), is what makes it realistic.

=) Yes, Elsewhere is what I meant. Renamed to Rocky-Point as I play it, so I could not bring the correct name to recall. Very nice, tight, and well thought out community. Something similar is my aim.
