I need help with TS2 Body Shop.
I exported a pair of tortoise shell glasses :turtle: in hopes of tinting them.
When I edit the .package file, I save everything in SimPE. I close that out, and open up Body Shop, it replaces the files I made with the ones inside Body Shop. I can't change anything, and help is much appreciated.

What do you mean by "it replaces the files I made with the ones inside Body Shop"? You're not seeing your changes? Are you sure you clicked Commit after you made your changes to the Material Definitions? Did you edit all the Material Definitions for all ages, not just one?

I clicked commit after every change I made. Whenever I open Body Shop, the file resets to default. For example: If I didn't have the .package or I renamed it, it would put one in my projects folder. Yes, I edited all age Material Definitions.

Wait, Projects folder? You should be finishing the project by doing "Import to Game" and editing the file in your SavedSims folder (or you can move it to Downloads). Files in Projects are unfinished and should not be edited except for the BMP textures.

Import to game using SimPE? And I'll try that.

I exported to sims2pack and it didn't show up.

No, Import to Game using Body Shop. Make a project of the glasses and then finish the project by adding a tooltip and clicking the "Import to Game" button - I think it looks like a checkmark? Then edit the file in SavedSims that contains your project name.
