Need help

:help: Ok, I've started having a few issues with my game and I can't figure out what's wrong with it. First, I started having sims totally disappearing from my neighborhood (all of them have, except for a dog of one family). I also noticed that some sims I installed were not showing up in create a family when they did show up in bodyshop. I couldn't even find the skintone the sim was packaged with in the skintones. I also have problems with the lots now. The houses have disappeared and if I try to put in a new one, it shows up as an empty lot. It's done this in all my neighborhoods. When I went to switch neighborhoods, the neighborhoods that are original to the game were not showing up properly (the pictures looked more like a grid).

I've cleaned up all my downloads and took out some hacks I had just put in that I believe may have caused the problem. I've tried reinstalling the game but I get to University and it won't let me install that or any other expansion. The base game installs just fine, it seems.

I've been trying to figure this out for days now and I'm totally lost. Any help would be great.

I'm on a powerbook g4 with OS 10.5.8

Sounds like a file limit issue. How many downloads do you have? How many sims in Bodyshop?

Ah, I didn't think of that. I have a lot of downloads (in the thousands) and sims. I did just go through my downloads and get rid of some stuff and it seems to work now. I just have one lot that I somehow got back into my house bin with the family in it. I put it into a new neighborhood and opened it and I swear it worked fine the first time I opened it. Now, however, 2 of the 4 family members are gone and if I try to load the lot to the house bin, my game crashes. It's done that even after moving my sims to a different house, so I'm pretty sure now it's that family causing my game to crash.

Thank you for the tip though :) I'll do some more cleaning.


UPDATE: I actually took out all of my downloads and am still having the same problem with that lot.
