Newer Release of Double Deluxe's Body Shop

I just replaced my Sims2 and I noticed this version of Double Deluxe is alot different. (by the way it runs much better with lots of bugs fixed) But Body Shop will not even try to open.

I searched the net to find an answer and it seems A LOT of people are having this issue but no one seems to have an answer. It just doesn't try to load and no error messages. I emailed EA 3 times and nothing.

I've already tried all the suggestions on this site, and everything else I could Google and reinstalled and tried on another brand computer, so my wonder is if anyone here has had this issue with the 2009 release of Double Deluxe and has found a cure for this? Thanks :)

Knowing EA, I smell a conspiracy. Maybe they're trying to secretly lock CC creators out?

I wonder if a version of Body Shop from a later EP would run instead?

Yeah, I think that would actually work. I plan to get more later expansions soon, but I wish I could use it now :( It seems alot of people have had this problem with this new release of Double Deluxe, I wish EA would let me know what's up.

Odd question: do you have Sims 3? My Body Shop stopped working just about the time we installed Sims 3.

I sure don't have Sims 3 BUT! it did install a demo of sims 3. I'm going to try to uninstall that and see if it works.

No, that didn't do anything. It installs automatically too.

Okay sorry to bump this back up, but here's what I'm gonna do...

Wasn't there a way to manually import and add custom skins and stuff? I know BS came out and kinda made the techniques hard to find, but is there any sites out there that have instructions how to do it? for a workaround.
