I have recently picked up the sims 3. I change my sim into sleepwear but she seems to automaticly change into everyday when doing things like leaving the room or even going to the bathroom. I really miss the behavior from the sims 2. I tried turning free will off and she still wont stay in her sleepwear. Is there a setting I can change or a mod that can fix this? Thanks all

Does she have the "insane" trait? They'll do that.

No it happens with any sim. It seems to be if i leave the bedroom. If they change to sleepwear in the living room then it will happen when they go into another room (such as the bathroom)

Hmm, is the house built where you go outside temporarily in parts or just built in an unusual way where the game might think your sim is going outside? Most sims will change back to everyday clothes if they leave the house, so as to not shock the neighbors.

They are premade houses that came with the game.

Oh, no problem. The only other thing I can think of is having accidentally set an inside door as the front door? I don't even know if that would cause that to happen. I'm stumped, sorry. Hope you find an answer.

Indeed it is. Thanks for asking. You'd be the first in my 4 years here with her. And good luck with the patch. Don't forget to backup.

My sims do the same thing.

It depends on the the time of day, too. Around noon, most of my sims change into their regular clothes autonomously.

Ok patch sort of helped. Now it only happens later in the day. However even if I change her back to sleepwear she still changes automatically. Is there a way to request a mod to change this?

For me, it depends on my sims ages. I find elders will stay in their pjs all day quite happily, whereas younger sims will put their normal clothes on to go about their everyday business.

@Ranissa
Do they change back automatically if you switch to sleepwear after noon?

I found some info in Sim_0xa29571c6f77aa18d using s3pe.
<kClothingChangeHoursPlayerChoiceIsSticky value="0">
<!--How many hours a player-directed clothing change overrides low-priority autonomous clothing changes.-->
</kClothingChangeHoursPlayerChoiceIsSticky>
Also
<kClothingChangeNighttimeStarts value="24">
<!--Going outside, a Sim won't change out of sleepwear if it is after this hour.-->
</kClothingChangeNighttimeStarts>
<kClothingChangeNighttimeEnds value="9">
<!--Going outside, a Sim won't change out of sleepwear if it is before this hour.-->
</kClothingChangeNighttimeEnds>
Also some stuff with <kReactToInappropriateClothingBroadcasterTuning>.
However I am not sure how to this into a working mod. I dont want them to change out of sleepwear on their own. Anyone wanna take a stab. :)
Also I tried myself by changing the sticky value to 72 but that did not fix it. Is kReactToInappropriateClothingBroadcasterTuning what makes them change or how they react to people. If it makes them change maybe I can just set its radius to 0

I have created a mod and it appears to work. Anyone kind enough to do some testing for me?

<kClothingChangeNighttimeEnds value="0">
Also the broadcast radius to 0

Wow, you've been on top of it. I realized I don't have this happen in my game because I keep freewill off. Just thought I'd mention it.

The mod seems to work fine for the most part. However they still change when going into different rooms after noon. Anyone with more modding experience want to chime in?

If you're looking for input from people with modding experience, you might want to take this over to the Modding Discussion forum (under Create): http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=547 .

I have fixed the issue I had the with the mod and submited it through the uploader. Until then it can be grabbed from the following link. Hopefully other people have a use for it as well.

This is no longer working in ts3 pets. I can't for the life of me figure out why. NRAAS Dresser is not working either. Can anyone else confirm this issue and/or point me to a solution?

I totally forgot about that from the Sims 2. I kind of like the idea of certain sims hanging around in pj's too. Maybe it only works with certain traits (without mods), like Couch Potato or something.

I heard some people crying over some dresser not working, may have been the same one. Have you tried the rigfix on it? I think they had tried the rigfix though, it was in that thread.
I reinstalled my game before pets, but before that my sims kept walking indoors with anything from formal to gym clothes. I only test houses ingame, so I didn't care much. I had a few mods installed at that time, would check those out first. Now you have made yourself a mod though, hope it gets accepted :)

Maybe it's a conflict with a mod or something. My sims hang around in their PJs all day unless they need to shower.
