I have created my first custom skins and they look great. My only issue is that the files are right around. 3.6MB. Is there any way to make them smaller so that they are lighter on the download folder?
Many thanks,
Kay

You could use the Compressorizer...

I've never heard of it. Where would I find it?
And thank you, btw for such a quick response. :)

Thank you fakepeeps7.
I tried this method and it does reduce it some, but not much. Are there any other methods out there? It seems that every time I import a skin it makes the size of the file bigger. ???
Thanks.

I would like to know (because this is really frustrating) why is it my original skin color is 2.5 MB while every recolor of it is over 4 MB??? What can I do?
Thanks to everyone who reads this. :)

Compressorizer is the best resource when you want the reduce the filesize, without losing quality. Skins are usually 1-6 MB, so 4 mb is not too much.
The size can depend on various things, like for example the DXT you used (in simPe) or the size of the textures themselves, sometimes really dark skins are smaller in size than lighter skins or skins with many details, this is something related to the way images work, and you can't change it.
Also, are you doing dark recolors of that skin? If so, maybe you have noticed that bodyshop causes some pixelation, making skins look pixelly ingame. If you have had that problem tell us, so we can help with that too.
