Long time member, first time poster. Love the site and all the great creations and helpful mods.

Pleasantries aside, I have a question.

I really enjoy listening to online radio, usually with iTunes, and often do so while playing other games once the music provided by the manufacturer has become tedious. Would it be possible, hypothetically, to set up the radio stations in the Sims 3 to stream live online radio?

I know the custom music folder would probably be the best place to test this initially since it is designed for custom .mp3 files.

My gut feeling says it can't be done, but... you never know, there's a lot of talented people about

Can't you just start iTunes or whatever first, and then load the game? Or play in Windowed mode so you can listen to music and play too?

Of course, but I don't see how that would serve to replace in game mp3s with live streaming radio. Using that logic I could record a 24 hour stream of my favorite station using audacity save it in mp3 format and dump it into my custom music folder. Ultimately I'm trying to replace fake radio with fake songs with real radio.

Like the previous poster said, and from what I gathered by watching this thread it seems like no one really knows how to do it, yet no one can discredit it either.
