Career history

Does anybody know of a way to delete the career history of a sim? Is there a cheat, a mod or anything out there that could do this?

Can't you just ignore a thread if you don't like it? The OP never said she really wanted to use it, just if it was possible.

And as far as I'm aware, there is no mod to delete career history. However, career history has to be saved somewhere: it's most likely in the same place that all the rest of the information on the Sim is saved, like the clothes, age, and other information. Is there a way to open up the save file and check in there? Granted, I'm no modder, so I can't even begin to help.

AwesomeMod has a button for this somewhere in the debug commands, "clearjobcrap", I made it for debugging purposes ages ago. You'll have to enable the debug console commands to use it, though.

Can't you just ignore that? It doesn't do anything anyway. It's only for informational purposes.

It bloody does! It doesn't make sense to have a lab technician being cheered and boo'd in the street (former Rockstar). I'd delete the character and start again, but she's completed so many challenges.. I don't want to do that again.

Oh, is that why they boo? Interesting. I always thought it was... random (and annoying!) because my world renowned surgeon gets booed all the time and he's only had one other job: astronaut.

One time his wife started booing him after WooHoo. I've no idea what that was about.

I talked my mom into playing Chuck Yeager's flight simulator. I started her on easy planes and she did pretty good. Then I stuck her in the SR-71 and she punched a hole in the earth. Chuck Yeager pops on the screen and tells her That's a sorry way to land an airplane.
So couple years goes by and she's talking to Chuck Yeager on the phone and told him about his really hurtful comment and kind of sorta boo'ed him.
My dad was up for heart transplant a long time ago. And doctors kept coming into his room and meeting him and shaking his hand and then leaving. My mom figured out that they were just doing it to charge medicare and insurance a consulting fee. She never confronted them about it but she told me and trust me... It was a boo.
So there ya go. One person boo'ing both those professions.

I've been trying to find anything to clear career history, but I was unsuccessful. :(
Could you please tell me more specifically how to use awsome mod to do that? I went through all commands listed under help when you press ctrl + shift + c, but couldn't find anything ... :cry:

And typing "clearjobcrap" directly doesn't work also ... at least the way I tried it ... (or it really doesn't exist anymore?)

Ah, I think Awesome might work a bit differently after being updated since 2010. You might want to ask over on Pescado's site, as the folks there stay pretty up to date on what it can, and cannot, do.

Master Controller can remove em too. Intermediate/Careers and whatever one says to remove old careers there, iirc.

(Am I alone in thinking that there should be a sticky or something that says Whatever Your Problem Try Master Controller First or something like that?)

you can start other career clicking on pencil besides chosen career icon

Why? Not everyone uses it, and not everyone wants to use it, and there are multiple mods that are capable of doing exactly the same thing.
