Ghosts

I have some problems when it comes to the playable ghosts - my sims's son started acting like a normal person, walking around and not floating anymore or going though the walls like real ghost should (I don't have the special mod which makes ghost normal people, never had) and also It shouldn't be because of CC since I haven't added anything new and before he was all ghost... or is it?

And another thing, is it possible to do something about the fact how ghost always disappears from the list of sims you know - like when you talk to ghost and when it returns to it's grave it disappears from the list. Or a ghost that lives with you moves out, that happens too, or if you go to holiday your ghost family isn't shown eather. (is there any mods which can fix this?)

What age group is your Sim's ghost son?
When I had problems with my playable ghosts' walk styles Buzzler's Running Desease Hotfix fixed this for me. It's already updated. Maybe you can try that. Although I have to say that I've never had a ghost suddenly unable to go through walls.
For ghosts disappearing from your relationship panel as soon as they're not on the same lot with you or members of your households I know of no solution, however, I'm afraid. The only thing I know that even though they may be absent from that panel, unless they are non-playable ghosts you can call or invite them via the cellphone menu. They also appear in the chat list on computers.

PuffyAmi, I've had a similar problem with your second problem about ghosts MIA. My playable one just wasn't there but her picture was still in the family list. She still got tired, hungry etc; She went to work across the street at the salon and never physically materialized. Double clicking just made the ground come into view. Sometimes she would be some where else in town but still, ground view and no ghost. I had to move her out and she has disappeared completely.
I feel a little bummed because I had made that sim to be my real/fake life me haha.

You might just have to let him go for good.

The ghost son is a kid. I'll try out that "walk styles Buzzler's mod if it would fix this. Now I only need to find a way that the ghost wont disappear from the known list because when my sims goes to holiday, ghost family is not on list anymore and when she comes back home the family tree is broken - she's no longer mom od the ghost boy.

Althouh while I had still just EP to all way to ambitions and went holiday, everything was fine when I got back home. But now in Late night, for some reason the family tree breaking happens when going holiday. Gosh I wonder why this is happening now. :help:

Yours sounds like the disappearance of an ACTIVE Sim, something that can happen also to non-ghosts. The OP's seems to be the fact that non-played ghosts will not show up in your active Sim's relationship panel if they're not on the same lot with you. Non-playable ghosts, f.ex., whose graves are on your lot will only show when they are actually haunting your house, they will have that little house icon next to their thumbnail, indicating that they are visitors. As soon as they return to their graves, their thumbnail will disappear as if they had left the whole world completely. The same goes for playable ghosts that live somewhere in your town. They will only show in your friendships panel if you're near them. I even had it once that when one of my sims stayed the night in a playable ghost's house that ghost decided to haunt the neighbours' house while my Sim was asleep. During the time that my ghost host was next door, she had disappeared from my Sim's relationship list and only reappeared after she returned to her home.

Well I used the mod and the ghost son acts like a ghost now again - though I noticed that he doesn't go though stuff in apartment buildings only in normal houses. I guess EA didn't include that ability in highrise.

Ah, so apartments act like tombs in a way? Because ghosts cannot float through walls in tombs either (which I secretly hoped when I made my first ghost adventurer :( )
