For sims 2 it was easy to splice different meshes together, but I haven't found a way to do it for sims 3 meshes. I always get a monster.
Does anyone know how to do this? If so, please give steps.
Thanks!

if you want to combine diffrent mesh parts and build your own custom one you need to make new morphs.(duplicate your custom mesh and edit)
You can build a custom mesh from 2 other meshes(but 2 max) if you use a outfit that has 2 meshgroups.(do the same with the morphs)
Then you can load eacht part into a diffrent meshgroup.

it explains how to combine tops and bottoms but you should use the same method for a custom mesh.

Thanks! I've tried splicing, than copying to make morphs, but I hadn't thought about using one with multiple meshes.

if you duplicate the base mesh(4 times) and make the morphs out of it, then you dont need a 2 meshgroup outfit.
