View Full Version : Too much glare on surfaces?

I've noticed recently (perhaps since installing Late Night? not sure) that when placing certain objects-- mostly counters-- I frequently get *extreme* glare on the surfaces. Like, if I tried to place a white object on the counter, it would be invisible. Changing the colors to something darker sometimes helps a little, but often the distractingly, blindingly bright glare remains. I think this might have to do with the number/type of windows in the room, but since I don't want my sims to live in dark caves with all black furniture, I'd really like to know if there is something I can do to lessen this effect. I haven't been able to find any solutions in my searches so far. Any suggestions??

I have no suggestions, but I have noticed recently that there is quite a glare on sims and their clothing, shiny plaid shirts and jeans etc..

I notice this all the time with counters. Everything will look fine and dandy till 6 am rolls around and the counter tops go super saiyan. They get blindingly bright and the only way I've found to lesson it is to remove light sources near the counter and replace them at night.

This has been a chronic problem since the base game came out. Try setting all your lights to dim. This seems to help a bit.
