I've been trying blender for making objects, but I can't get the mesh to import back into simpe. I get the error:

"Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection."

I looked it up, and the simpe site says:

"There are two kinds of obj-files, those with a positive and those with a negative index. SimPE is only able to handle one of them (with positive indices), obviously your 3D-modeler exports the other.

You have to convert your obj-file to the proper version before you can use it in SimPE, you can do this for example with the freeware UV Mapper Classic or with Milkshape ."

it dosn't say, how, though...

So... Help?

(the RAR contains the package and the .obj file)

Using UVMapper just import, do nothing, and then save the model. This should do it.

I've tried opening it in UV mapper and then saving, but it won't work...

What doesn't work? Do you get an error message? Does it open in UVMapper? Does it save?

it opens and saves in UV mapper, but it still won't import in simpe- it gives the same error message.

This sounds like something Blender specific, the file can be imported if exported from Wings 3d. It gives an index out of range error, but it will import it. Also, if the file is exported from Wings 3d, opened/saved in UVMapper then imported into SimPE the error goes away. Sorry I can't help with Blender issues. You could try using Wings 3d (free) or Milkshape (free trial only). I can certainly give you this file fixed, but you need to find a way to overcome this error to continue meshing.
