I have a sim who is currently a vampire but can they be cured of it?
Tried sending them to the hospital, even made the vamp a doctor, but to no avail :(
Any thoughts?

Go to the science facility and buy the cure to vampirism. I think it's like $3,000. It'll show up in your sim's inventory, then just have him drink it.

Vampirism is cured by a stake through the heart :)

I hope you weren't too hasty in removing their vampirism. You might like it.
Secretsim is correct in that the science facility offers an option to remove it.
However, I find that vampirism is actually a good thing for sims. They never ever get fatigued, and at night (6PM to 6AM) they learn skills at a faster rate. This means they can learn the athletic and martial arts skills in very little time. I'm talking two sim days for each skill. No more "Fatigued" moodlet that lasts for 8 sim hours.
Vampire children and teens learn skills at an even faster rate, and at all hours. Plus they aren't affected by the sun (until they reach YA).
Just be sure to buy them a lot of plasma fruit and put it in their inventory. They'll autonomously eat it if their thirst need gets too low.
