Help, building a room under the roof.

Could anyone please help me or direct me to a tutorial about building a room under the roof? I have no idea what they are called so please forgive me if its hard to understand what im talking about. Heres a poorly draw image to show you what im tying to build(poorly drawn house file). SO any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's for TS2 but works for TS3 just remember to leave out the "boolprop" bit for the cheats.
