Is TS2 EPs Cover (only one picture) is better for you or TS3 EPs (6 sections) cover? Or maybe, TS1 EPs Cover (the '9 sections')???
For me, it's better to have TS2 Cover, because it makes me feel more curious about the game...

TS2 cover still gave you lots fo information because the images were blended in together. Now they present various features of the EP in separate images, in TS2 they blended them all in a single image. Personally I love looking at all the small details. TS1 was kind of frustrating cause everything was so tiny, yet I think it had the most detailed objects and costumes.

TS2's case was blended and the Pets cover was way better than the game!
I like TS3's cover because it is modern and really shows off the Plumbbob.

I like the TS3 base game cover the best. The EPs are, meh.

I think I like TS2's more, for the sake of the cover variety. All of the TS3 covers look pretty much the same. It's a great design, but it gets boring after a while.

The cover of the EP matters only when the EP is still not released and we are clinging on every single new piece of info we can get our hands on. When the case is sitting on your bookshelf and you are playing the actual game, the cover, regardless is it one picture or sixteen, doesn't really matter.

I may want to add upon this statement: another thing that actually matters about EP covers is the distinction among them, which EA does a pretty good job.
I have a shelf on my bookshelf dedicated for The Sims, more or less. 80% of the space are taken by boxes collected back in the old TS2 days. It proves to be useful that none of the design closely resembling each other, and I can identify if this is a TS2 or TS3 box at glance, without having to look for the fine print. Same with distinction among TS3 EP, it helps when there is a need to reinstall.
Of course, in all seriousness, it doesn't matter a whole lot, just being convenient.
