The cheekbone area is looking pretty good but the rest needs a bit of work.
-her nose needs to be rotated up a bit, bridge made less thin at the top, more nose definition, slightly smaller nostrils - her whole nose needs to go up a bit in height also
-the position of her eyeballs to lids isn't quite right, and gives her a tired look although the picture on the right isn't exactly how Emma usually looks either.. try finding a better pic for the eyes?
-the actual eye you are using isn't very realistic and doesn't suit her well, perhaps try another default eye?
-her chin needs to be longer, jaw shape is ok, maybe more square
-her lips need to be less wide at the top, they are more of a straight W line than a rounded heart shape.. bottom lip shaped in more of a V as well
-her eyebrows are also not very realistic.. try some custom ones? they are a bit too manly and unshapely for Emma
-I would also recommend finding custom freckles that are realistic instead of those spotty ones.
Keep it up :)

I agree with Dhampir, the RL picture of Emma that you're using isn't a very good one of her and doesn't represent what she usually looks like.
In addition to the suggestions above, the eyes should be rotated a bit as well, the sim's eyes are a little too "cateye" looking, while Emma's are fairly straight across. The outer corner should come down more and be level with the inner corner.
The brow should also be lowered a little bit.
Looking forward to seeing the updates, as I love Emma and would love to see a great Sim of her done!

Her eyes should be a bit smaller, perhaps use some custom eyes that you can apply as contacts?
Also, her eyes seem really high on her face, perhaps lowering them down.
The crease on her upper lip should be less dramatic.
Her skin tone also looks really grey, a lot of people say that you should take your screenshots from in-game, as sims tend to look different in-game than when they are in CAS.

-eyes also should be rotated slightly so they are less downward facing
-move her bridge up
-lips still need to be less wide
-her nose also has to come down a tiny bit along with the eyes
-rotate eyebrows so they are more straight and less arched
-bring nostrils down a bit
She looks way better already

There's a strange line cutting across her nose/eye area.. her face is also still too long
The skin colour should be a bit more peachy and vibrant as well.
Her eyes are looking much better but the colour is off now
Her lips are also still too rounded and not straight enough at the top.

Try to make the face and the mouth a little bit wider. Also put down the bridge and the eyebrows.

Since the nose has gotten so distorted, maybe it's better to start from scratch? It's too long aswell.

Okay I'm no expert but the skin color really needs to go peachier, I suggest you use the tan base skin slider, and not the Hispanic like one your using now. That would have her skintone.
The Nose bridge needs to be curved in more not out, see how it looks flat on her, but like bulky on yours. Also the strolis need a bit more definition and the nose thing between the nostrils (having a lack of brain atm) needs to be a bit smaller. Also the browns need to be darkened and I'd suggest a different hair style and when you get it, try and use the more volumed brown, that in the second row to the right on the basic tone selections for customizing hair.

Okay, um... I don't think you're getting any closer than your first pic, tbh. Right now, you are using a really... not very good pic at all for comparison (3/4 view, smiling, etc.), and it is making your job WAY hard. It also looks like your sim is still smiling in CAS, which is not going to help you any.
Have a read over this: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=432920 ... there's a lot of good info about finding good pics and how to get your sims to stop smiling in CAS, etc., that are basic things you need to get done first before you can really get an accurate sculpt. Right now, the sculpt is still very much off - an interesting face, but not really much like hers at all. It is hard to tell you exactly what needs changing until you can get a -good- comparison pic of both the real girl and your sim. And side-by-side, please, not split pics - they can be useful but side by side with neutral faces is, IMO, the best way.

i am looking into making custom eyebrows, to make her look more realistic ;)

The basics are a bit better here..
-eyebrows need to be more arched
-bridge moved up a bit
-nostrils wider (side to side)
-top lip less wide and round, bottom lip thicker and more V shaped
-chin up a bit, mouth down a bit
-rotate her eyes so the outer edges are more upward
-less cheek fullness

New changes:

bridge moved up

changes to the lips
mouth down
chin up
rotated eyes
less cheek fullness

The shape of the eyebrows is right, however they are nowhere near as thick as Emma's.. hers are also more natural, not as straight as the ones you have.
-the tip of her nose needs to be a bit bigger and rotated down, nostrils up
-her top lip is a little bit too thin - make it a click or so wider
-bottom lip is a tiny bit too wide as well, but shape is better
-lower eyelid shape is very straight, Emma's is more curved
-bring up her jaw slightly, the parts right below her ears so that her jaw is more V shaped and less short and square- her chin is quite good like that
-nose bridge a tad wider
I'm not sure those are the greatest custom eyes for her either, the colour shade is also slightly off
