Can You Run Games off a Usb Hardddrive I Have Sims 3 on my C Drive And Wanted To Know If Could Install The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on my usb Drive
My usb Drive is 2.0 usb 320 harddrive
Would The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Even Run on A usb drive
Has Anyone Try to Install Games on usb Drive?

Yes, you can install and run games on external hard drives. They may load a bit slower (and read data as the game plays a little slower) as the read speed through USB is going to be a little slower. The main thing is to make sure that your external drive and any other virtual drives (USB thumb drives, iPod, card readers, etc.) are always plugged in in the same order so that the drive letters don't get shuffled around - if the game installs on drive E: then if you unplug the drive and replug it in a different order and it's suddenly drive F: then the game won't work.
If you don't have a need for the drive to actually be an external, and you're on a desktop with a free spot for it, external drives can be mounted internally just as a regular hard drive, and then you don't have to worry about read speed or drive lettering as it becomes just another hard drive.
