*Side note, how can you disagree that *I* am not a fan of women? It's a fact.*
because if that was true you would have committed suicide knowing that one of your parents is a woman.

1. That's a totally shallow reason to kill yourself over.
2. I'm not a fan of a lot of things, doesn't mean i want to end myself every time i come into contact with it.
3. That still doesn't answer how you can dispute *MY* feelings.

Um, my game also hangs at the loading screen, and I have a decent amount of experience when it comes to installing core mods.
Which loading screen? What version of game/mod? Have you made sure to follow all the instructions in the sticky?

Grim, I think I have found a small problem with the sleep naked part. When my child is sleeping they are all messed up, when I turn sleep naked off they are just fine.
Sorry if you have already been made aware of this, I tried reading all the pages but did not see this issue posted, I might have just missed it.
I am posting a screenshot to show what I mean.

HEY there
I had download your package files but when i'm putting them into the appropriate folder and try to load the game it doesn't load...in the first loading screen when the main game is loading after almost 60% it stops.I thought at first that it just needs time but after an hour nothing happened still trying to load....any ideas?
i searched the thread but it seems to be the only one with this problem(sorry if i miss something.
P.S. excuess my english

On the first load screen it's usually an install problem. Make sure you have the d3dx9_31.dll in your game bin. Otherwise, as long as it's in the correct folder, the only problem would be the wrong version of the mod with the game.

I can not find an option to save sims - children of my heroes - to the bin. I was going to use them in new kingdoms and while I can edit them in CAS I do not see a way to save them. There is the option to save them as carry-over sims and I tried it last night. The sim disappears from the current kingdom and can only be used as a monarch in a new game. Since I played the new kingdom quest with one of them just before that, it seems that even then they are only available once.
One thing I really like about your mod is being able to change the kingdom aspects. I played two ambitions with the same kingdom before and was glad I could use it again for the third ambition without having all the aspects filled up from the start (once you remove them, the slots - less one - disappear with them though and can not be created if all the buildings already exist, so you have to add the aspects manually after a completed quest, but that's no big deal). I am very demotivated by P&N (which I yesterday crowned with the title "worst sims expansion pack ever made") and don't know if I really want to start a fourth ambition. I think it could inspire me if I could use the second generation in a new kingdom. My alternative idea was to copy the kingdom with the children into a new ambition and then let their parents retire, but then I would start with all the buildings and the annexed territories. I would prefer to add them slowly from the bin.
I did use the princess I saved as a carry-over sim in a new ambition, but the fun of that was quickly spoiled because I played the tutorial quest and for some unknown reason the screen turns black now when one of the lessons comes up, so that you only see the message. I managed to click the right buttons by judging their position from the pointing arrow, but when it came to the location view (and zooming in to the village entrance) I failed miserably.

when you save the sim as a carry-over, go to the CO folder in your Saves folder before you start a new kingdom or whatever, and your carry-over sim will be in that folder. I used this method to save Xexys the Dream Demon and make him king.
doren
4th Jan 2012, 12:01 AM
I found this solution earlier and just tried it (I did not play the quest, I saved the carry-over sim with the debug option). I could not get the sim to show up first, but now after loading the game the third time it worked. I changed the saved sim back to the original file name with only numbers and removed the file which was still in the CO folder. I don't know which one did the trick but one of these steps was needed to get the sim into the bin. This new kingdom is mainly a test hood to see how it develops if I avoid the P&N quests, but if I can play with the second generation of my sims I might be motivated enough to complete another ambition.

Sorry, IE9's been messing with the site, and I haven't been able to log in since New Years.
The save carry over sim works like the quest which allows you to carry over a single sim. Sorry, I forgot exactly which quest that is. It only allows one sim to carry over. It also only allows one carry over sim to be saved. Any further carry over's will remove the first unless you make a copy outside of the game. Since a new kingdom would not have the required building by default, I don't know if it can be modded to work to carry over an entire kingdom. I have got some ideas though.
I've been itching and threatening to update this mod. I have a wonderful person who has given me a Swedish translation, and some other suggestions/feature requests I'm looking into. Anyone able to do a translation, or any new suggestions are welcome.

is there anyway to "age up and arrange Marriage" for hero children? that would be the most epic addition *I* can think of. . .
grimreefer24601
5th Jan 2012, 12:00 AM
Wow, I never thought of that. Age Up without profession is something I'm thinking of including, but I'm not even sure of how to arrange a marriage. I'll look, but i doubt it's possible. (There, I said, kind of, it can't be done, so I'll probably figure out a way).
DarthKitsune
5th Jan 2012, 12:02 AM
I can happily settle for the simple ageing up without assigning a profession. I want to age up all of my many children, marry them off, and be a grandparent, lol.

5th Jan 2012, 01:03 AM
This is a wonderful mod! Thanks so much for all your hard work. I would really like to see an option to age up a hero's children and turn them into other heroes. A kingdom run by my monarch's children would be pretty cool.
DarthKitsune
5th Jan 2012, 01:10 AM
actually, you can have your monarch "Blood Adopt" the Hero's, therefore making them adult hero's/children of the corn, er. . . The Monarch.
doren
5th Jan 2012, 10:54 AM
actually, you can have your monarch "Blood Adopt" the Hero's, therefore making them adult hero's/children of the corn, er. . . The Monarch.
You can also make your heroes siblings, which I did yesterday. I was very pleased about this option because after importing the children into the new kingdom, I turned the brother of my queen into a knight and then restored the family relations.
What I would like is a better option to set the level of a hero. When I started the third ambition (with my old kingdom) I wanted to level down the heroes because they were all on level 10++++ but regardless how many times I set the hero skills/abilities from 10 to 1, it would not stick. I had to reassign their profession (and then it would work once they reached level 2) and as a result all the heroes who were married to other heroes and living with them did not go to their lots anymore. I could still play quests with them, but got a message for the respective buildings that a new hero was needed. Inactive, the physician spend all day scrubbing the floor of the blacksmith house and it was a sad sight when she "forgot" to change into her everyday clothes one day and stayed in her nightgown. She is too refined for that. Building and buying on the physician's lot is not possible anymore without using a cheat.
I understand that this is to some extent related to growing up children and assigning them a profession, because I think it allows to have more than one hero of the same profession without messing up the game (hopefully). I did not retire the parents when I grew up the children, as they are not ready for it yet and thought it was great to be able to choose when playing a new quest. It finally allowed me to annex Effenmont by marrying off the "prince". However, it would be even better if you could have some of the children just hanging about with no profession.
Destynova99
5th Jan 2012, 06:18 PM
Doren you can set the level of any hero with a shift left click if testingcheats are enabled. I'm reasonably sure it allows you to level down since the option to set it to any level is there in the cloud... I've never tried it myself.
As for the age up and arrange marriage thing. you could always just "set relationship" to fiancee (or spouse if you want to skip the actual marriage step). I don't know how mods work and if the steps could be combined or not with one selection, but it'd be relatively painless to do it manually.

I hate to be that girl that can't figure it out... but sadly I am :(
I followed the modding for beginers thread and made sure the .dll was in and put the mods folder in the right place with the resource and packages in side... *sigh* but nothing's shown up in my game. I have modded Sims 3 and other games and i've always been able to solve the problem myself...
Could it be because I have a digital download off origin. I had soe trouble with that while trying to use the testing cheats because the main program folder is named something different... :/

Indeed. I searched the debug options of this mod and thought that you had to change the single skills. It is a bit confusing to have sort of two debug menus, but the next time I try to remember to look at both.

I've uploaded a minor update today. This adds the Swedish strings provided by sparalink. It also adds an Age Child interaction for those who wish to age their children without giving them a profession. Finally it makes children wear sleepwear when using the Naked Sleep option, and fixes a text error in the Adopt Child text. Still have more stuff to do, and look into, but I figured I'd let you try out what I have now.
@Dordracio: Do you get the custom Grims Medieval Core graphic when you load the game? Do you get any of the interactions?

*Hugs* and thank you loads. I've always wanted to age the kids but never wanted to retire the heroes. I'm more interested to see what they look like than anything else.
I normally wait till I have the plat kingdom ambition then go back in and age them up and then quit without saving again. Having them able to stay grown will allow for better stories, and I'm interested to see how in depth the family tree goes as you go down the generations. And kids in pjs, excellent, those spider legs under the bed were highly disturbing. Very grateful for this update, thank you =D
I wonder if the game will allow an already aged up child to take the throne if the monarch dies.

I got an issue here:
Everyday, when I try to open my game (with the mod and .dll installed) I got a major issue that's making me upset.
I have P&N retail patched to 2.0.113, and when I start the game, it shows the introduction video and when it's supposed to load in the Grim's Sims Medieval Pirates & Nobles Core, it just stop.
The game keep working no error message is displayed, but it won't load at all.
Ever occurred to anyone? How to fix?
DarthKitsune
18th Jan 2012, 10:32 PM
Remove all mods and see if it loads. if it does, start adding mods back one by one until you find out which one is messing up your game. time consuming, I know, but it's the best I've got.

I just re-installed the mod and .dll back. Thanks.
Another issue: When I'm playing, neither can I age my children, nor place them in any profession nor have them to assume the position when my hero's retired.
I have 2.0 mod version.
Sorry for asking too much. :P

go into the options, open the last tab, unselect the debug options and click the check. then, once that window disappears, go and turn the debug options back on, that should enable the options. also, only the hero parent of the child may age them up, i think. that's how it goes for me anyway.

@ArthurAVM: I believe DarthKitsune has lead you in the proper direction for a fix. I've been lazy, and still haven't added all the options to each sim as the game creates them. In many cases this can be resolved as DarthKitsune has described. All other cases should be resolved by a save and reload. Everything originally is based off of a new load, and should work fine after one.
@Hzarg: I'm glad you're still aboard. You are welcome. And thank you for making sure that I know my mods are appreiciated.
@Everyone: I'm trying to work on more stuff. Hopefully I'll have another bone to throw at you this weekend.

I've uploaded a new addition that includes adding titles to non-professional sims, and baby gender bias by eating either Sweet Porridge (Boys) or Seafood Stew (Girls). Each serving should add 20% to the chance for the desired gender, so after eating three servings the odds should be 100%.
@iDiru: This mod is current with the most up to date patch, and it appears you are also running that patch. A hang on load is an install issue. Either you have the wrong version of the mod, something is in the wrong place, you have the wrong Resource.cfg/d3dx9_31.dll, or the download of one of those files became currupted.

Would it be possible to teleport "quest" sims back into town or are they gone for good, even if they continue to exist as a thumbnail?
I made this mistake for example: I played the quest where the monarch helps the teacher to establish schooling. I liked the little boy who lost his parents and let the second hero merchant adopt him. Thinking that was enough, I overlooked the option to add him to the active family. After the quest the instructor is left but the children are gone. He can not invite the boy to his home because he is not listed at the messenger post. He is still in his relationship panel as his son though.
There are other characters, occasionally some with marriage potential for a hero I am not currently playing.
grimreefer24601
22nd Jan 2012, 06:27 PM
As far as I know, quest sims aren't a part of the townie pool. Their spawning and removal are controlled by the quest. Your sim still "remembers" them, but the game has deleted them. How did you adopt the boy? With the DEBUG command or Adopt Child?
DarthKitsune
22nd Jan 2012, 09:15 PM
yeah, you can't adopt children that are a part of a quest. you can marry adults that are part of a quest though (My Jacoban Priest always marries Xexys the Dream Demon)
doren
22nd Jan 2012, 09:32 PM
I think it was with Adopt Child, but I am not sure. I know I did not use the "set relationship" command. I guess he would have stayed on if I had added him to the active family or would he have been deleted in any case?

Just wanted to say thank you very much for creating this mod - it's really given me more motivation to keep playing because the 'not aging' thing of this game really made it feel pointless. Now I can keep editing my sims and make them look like young adults and gradually changing to give them wrinkles and grey hair lol, and then get rid of them without too much hassle. The sleep naked thing is also awesome - those PJ's were really getting on my nerves (more the hat). Also, 'Grims Medieval Core' over the sims logo was a nice touch :))

P&N and the base game with the latest patch are basically the same thing as far as script mods are concerned. They both use exactly the same script dlls. Most of what is truely added with P&N makes it more of a stuff pack than an actual expansion.
@DvdMr89: testingcheatsenabled=1 is not your problem. This mod includes a DEBUG Enabler which requires testing cheats to be enabled.
DestyNova99 has given as good of an answer as I can. All files should be placed exactly where he described. Make sure your game is fully patched, and you are using the 2.0 version of my core. Make sure you have downloaded the files from how to mod your game by Rockerduck. Files from other places will not work. Also, redownload those files and my core. I've seen many issues with corrupted downloads.
Finally, try only this mod if other mods are working. If no other mods are working yet try my Intro Disabler. It will at least let you know if your files are installed correctly.

I had problems of getting the mod to work but I found something that fixed it for me just now. in the tutorial for getting mods to work it tells you to put the mods in your My Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims Medieval/Mods/Packages. But I put it into my base game folder in my programs and it seems to be working. Like for instance the place where my package files are put at now are
C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages
I hope this helps others!
And the resource file is in
C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims Medieval
Edit: It seems his tutorial was fixed, or maybe I read it wrong but after doing what I described the mod works fine

"A hang on load is an install issue. Either you have the wrong version of the mod, something is in the wrong place, you have the wrong Resource.cfg/d3dx9_31.dll, or the download of one of those files became currupted. "
You reckon you have the right version of the mod, so are you sure you have the 2 files mentioned above in the right place? and also the right copies of them. You can download them both and see a guide for where they both should be placed here
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=438344
If it's not that, try re-downloading the core mod, the resource file and the dll.
Hope you can get it to work :)

ChickieTeeta has quoted me correct. However, since you see my custom Core load screen, I believe your Issue is either a missing/wrong/corrupt d3dx9_31.dll, or a confilcting core mod.
There aren't many conflicting mods, except my earlier mods, so it's probably an issue with d3dx9_31.dll.

Grim, I ave been using your great core mod since purchasing both TSM and P&N (about two weeks now, yes I know that I'm a little slow on the uptake :D ).
I was wondering if you could add an option to disable the extra interaction choices that you have made availble (ei, "select color", "retire from profession", "murder by..."). I would rather have the ability to turn these off for those times when I am not interested in using them, and thus have less clutter in the radial menus.

Seconded. Maybe you can make it only appears when shift+click is done on a sim, like some of Twallan's mode for Sims 3.

grim i want to remove the core but im afraid that it may do something to my saved game if i made sims pregnant with that core(with the same sex xp) and murders if i remove the core is still saved?or do i lose the saved game with actions i did using him?

I've seen the comment before about making the interactions toggle, so I do plan to add this feature. I have some other stuff to add to the menu too.
As long as no custom interactions are running you can remove the mod. The game doesn't care about any code once it's done running. Same sex pregnancy is done before you hear the pregnancy tune. Murder is done instantly.

Yes I do.
Have you got the resource.cfg as well?
Also there are 2 bin folders. Do you have it inside Game/Bin or Game?Bin/bin. It should be in the first one (Game/Bin)
Try redownloading the d3dx9_31.dll from the first post in the sticky. The one you have may have got corrupted.
Do you have Medieval and Pirates & Nobles or just the base game? There are different versions of the mod, did you download the correct version for what you have?
2 0 13 if you have pirates and nobles too
1 3 13 if you have installed up to the last patch before pirates and nobles
1 10 if you didn't install the pre P&N patch.
If you're unsure what version of the core you need, it will tell you in the bottom left of the TSM launcher which version of the game you currently have installed.

Hello
This mod is very nice! I'm especially attracted to it because it allows the bestowing of titles! However, I'm running into a snag. I'm running TSM on a Mac, running OS 10.6.8(Snow Leopard). I downloaded the first version beta, and I placed it in the proper directories, and the 'Sims Medieval' title page had the modified 'Grim's Medieval Core' title. However, the program wouldn't load, and the parchment area where the drawings of Sims were, when the game was loading, was blank. I replaced that version with the 1.3.13, and the program loaded, however, 'Grim's Medieval Core' title wasn't there, it was the regular Sim's Medieval. I then tried the 2.0.13 version beta, but didn't realize that it was for TSM with P&N. I don't have P&N, so thats probably why that didn't work. I updated my version of TSM to the latest version(2.0.114.001), and used the 1.3.13 version, and it still comes up with the regular Sims Medieval title page, and I go to the options menu, and Grim's items still don't appear :\
Any tips or suggestions on what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated :)

A fully updated base game is the same code version as Pirates and Nobles. That version, unless I've missed something in the last week or so is 2.0.13 (higher than 2.0.114). The mod version should match your game version. As far as I know both Mac and PC should use the same data packages. You should be trying the 2.0.13 version. If the MAC is truely a lower game version, I can't help. I have only PC data packages. If you can give me a copy of your gameplay.package I could take a look at it, but it should be the same as my PC version.

Hi! I'm having some difficulties with the mod.
Everything necessary is installed, and it works, but whenever I make a hero, and try to leave CAS, it keeps going on and on forever, and never loads. I was wondering if there's something wrong. I have the 2.00013.0 update thing, the resources, the d3lld.dx thing, and these are the only mods I have installed except for the nointro mod. I have the core, the male pregnancy one and the nude mesh.

@brs396: My current core allows male pregnanacy. Any other male pregnancy mod will conflict.
As for censoring the "woohoo" action, I thought I have already done that. I have provided naked woohoo.
For other "adult" options, they can be done, but there is not enough interest. I can do it, but unless people want to pay me, I can't justify the time.

Hello! first i just wanna say, THANK YOU!! for this mod. I finally got a chance to start playing SM and i love it. And when my monarch had children I hated the fact that they had to stay kids forever or until my monarch dies which is lame Plus as kids i couldn't even change their clothes or hair i mean really, 2 princesses that look like hobos??? not cool ea, I glad i got to change that.
Anyway one question. OK I turned my monarchs children into adult but i didn't give them professions i want to keep my queen but they just kinda stand around the castle not doing anything and they are always hungry. Is there anyway i can fix this.?I want them to stay princesses but i want them to act like they are!! I guess they don't because they have no profession??
Edit: perhaps is there a way to change thier titles? I want to keep thier titles as princess Even though i made the princesses monarch profession so i cant choose it normally . (sigh) I dunno...

For some reason, I can't get the debug options to appear every time I click a sim. Sometimes when I click my current or any other sim, the options all pop up just fine and I can access it just fine, but other times it'll work for one or two sims but not for anyone else, basically behaving as if the mod isn't even there. The choices in the options menu are consistently available, though.
Is there some condition for accessing debug options that I'm not consistently meeting?
I have the latest version of the mod and P&N.

I have some requests for this mod if you're still working on it.
One, would you be willing to update your separate Same Sex Pregnancy/Wish for Child mod for anyone who doesn't want any of these other changes, but wants their same sex couples to be able to have children? The older version of your mod doesn't work with game version 2.0.13.
Two, could you make all the additions optional in the Options settings? I don't really like the fact that the option to change the profession of a sim, retire him, or kill him are always in the menu. The CAS mod options can be turned on or off, and it would be nice if the profession and spontaneous killing options could be turned off as well. They aren't exactly something my sims would use often.
Three, could you make it so the male maternity clothes are not separate outfits to their ordinary counterparts? If this isn't feasible, could you at least limit the outfits to certain types of heros like in the base game? I know it's an odd preference considering all the mods out there that expand the clothing options, but I actually like the fact that different professions have different outfits to choose from, leaving each with their own unique style.
Other then these minor annoyances, your mod works wonderfully. Thank you for sharing. :)

I will still work on this mod as long as people are interested. Lately I've been busy working on real game issues, not mods. All of this is a hobby for me, so I give time where I can. I have some thing with my core that I've updated, but haven't cleaned it up enough to release. Some of the things that have been requested are complete, but in working with other options the latest package is broken.
I am planning on releasing a new update, but it may take a few more weeks/months depending on my schedule.
It makes me very happy to hear that people are using this mod, and it encourages me to continue uploading stuff as I get it working.
I promise, I am working on an update, but with other projects going right now, I can't estimate when it will be.

A side note,
For better male maternitity clothing, new meshes would need to be created. My CASP tutorials have shown how to do it, but so far no one has made the mesh. ;)
One of my main goals here is to inspire other people to mod.

You're so wonderful with this core (I love it!) </suck up> Would you be an absolute angel and give us the link for your CASP tutorials. I'm just about ready to try tackling the modding thingy.
Of course, if I had my 'druthers, I'd love to be able to move adult children of my heroes into their parent's old (in most cases, empty) homes. My physician married the knight. Her daughter (from a previous lover, but who moved in with mom and the knight) is now grown and a kick-ass physician on her own. Sadly, she can't seem to move out of the barracks. And it's starting to get crowded with extended family.

The tutorial I've mentioned is here, Grim's Medieval Custom Clothing Tutorial (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=457495). It's mainly about modding clothing, but it does mention the special/pregnant mesh, which could be modified to make male pregnant meshes.

Hey Grim, do you have a thread for reports on problems with the core (2.0.113 beta)? I do not have Pirates and Nobles yet so do not know if this is the right place for it.
===
Well now I feel like a goof, somehow I got the core moved into the wrong package file. It seems that it will not work if put into the mods/package folder but does now that I moved it into the shared/package one... argh. Sorry about all this.

The core should be in the same directory as all other mods. For me this directory is, C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages. If the core doesn't work in this directory, there is a problem somewhere in the installation.
A fully patched Medieval is the same code base as Pirates and Nobles. You don't have to have P&N to use the core. Just a fully updated game.
Placing the core in your shared package folder cannot be guaranteed to always work.

Grim said it may not work consistently from that folder.
Where have you put 'no jealousy'? Which flavor of no jealousy are you using?
It sounds like you may have your folders set up wrong.
Are you using any other mods aside from these 2?
Can you try starting a new kingdom with no jealousy already installed and tell me if it works from there? (You can delete the kingdom when you're done.)

ShimrodTSMSeduceExecute_ForsakenAutoWooNoJeal.package --- currently it is iin Game Data/Shared/Packages and previously I had it in Mods/Packages. Originally both the no jealousy patch and grims core were in Mods/Packages and worked perfectly. Somehow they stopped functioning and I could not bring up the options menu at all. Eventually I found that moving Grims Core to its current location restored function to it and also the options menu. Since that worked, I moved the no jealousy patch as well but it still does not work, no more seduce or anything. No idea what happened, the game was fine when I shut it down one time and not fine when I reopened it.

I already did that, starting a new kingdom I mean, in fact I tried several of them in different ambition areas nothing changed.

I have no idea why your mods suddenly stopped working for you at the correct location, unless something like your resource.cfg file has become corrupt???, but I doubt no jealousy will work from shared\packages. Try redownloading the resource file, and deleting your mods folder and setting up a new one. If you can download something simple like 'no zzz's while sleeping' (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=3807305#post3807305), which is nothing more than a simple texture change...can you see if this works in your current mods/packages folder before you re-download anything?

Alright, you guys. I'm at a total loss here.
I've been through several Threads now, concerning the Medieval mods. Such as the instruction "Modding - How to mod your game for beginners", other threads regarding this topic and even random google sites where you can find explanations for it.
I also didn't just read the first post on each of those topics but went through the whole thread, reading every single reply to make sure I tried all of the given options. But it's still not working.
I'm having the base game and the P&N add on (installed in German but that shouldn't matter). Normal Cheats such as 'Motherlode' work of course. But nothing given as Custom Content into the 'Packages' folder by me will work.
Here are some images of the directions so you'll see how I've set it up (Just like told).
http://666kb.com/i/c4dkjehwcqh0hdjm3.jpg
http://666kb.com/i/c4dkk0gy8xdn0ieff.jpg
http://666kb.com/i/c4dkka1d0sny71si3.jpg
http://666kb.com/i/c4dkkkzh248rwnudn.jpg
http://666kb.com/i/c4dkkuc6zgfzsz0jv.jpg *
As you can see, the directories are correct. The d3dx9_31.dll file is the one given on the 'How to mod your game for beginners' thread, therefore also the right one.
So even if I followed everything able to be followed regarding the instructions and the 'how to do it' right threads it still won't work. The game itself works normally though.
I just don't know what to do anymore or how to get it to work? Maybe I've done something wrong? But I went reading the several help-Threads considering this topic over and over and it's all how it should be.
Can anyone help me? Mods just won't work no matter what..
PS- I've completely new installed that game yesterday and followed those instructions right away.
I need help. Please? :(

My computer is a piece of junk.
While this may be true, it shouldn't keep your mods from working. I suggest you leave it out from future posts unless you have a hardware issue. I notice you use Vista. Are you an administrator/running as? Vista has emotional issues in it's relationship with UAC and as such will randomly crap out if you're not as administrator as possible and you forget your monthly voodoo offering to the OS Gods.
Not sure that it matters, but you appear to be using a custom/TS3/old/whatever it doesn't look exactly like mine resource.cfg. You could be upsetting TSMs various emotional issues.

Okay from the top.
1) Delete your current Resource.cfg file then Copy - Paste and replace when prompted the Resoure.cfg file that you downloaded from this thread (link below) into C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval - do not rename it!!! - http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=438344

3) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Ini\ and open the command.ini file, Make Sure you have set TestingCheatsEnabled=0
4) got to mods\packages\ folder and delete everything inside do not put any other mods inside for now.
5) Install the correct version of Grim's Medieval Core to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages, there are three versions find the correct one that corrosponds to your game version.
Eg; if your game is patched to 1.1 and above then use the 1.10 version, if 2.0 and above then use the 2.013 version.
7) Run game and shake hips for profitssss, then let me know if my instructions worked.

Shouldn't the normal ones work anyway if I place the mod for it into the packages folder? Like, teleporting etc.?

Turn Testingcheats = 1 and see what happens :D if it breaks the game then just change it back to a 0.
if you put a new mod in the packages folder and it breaks the game then delete it "The mod".
if it wont load then follow my instructions again.

No need t' do that!! Just placed the standard TestingCheats in mods again and am able to teleport and stuff now once more.
So that's all I wanted! (Including the No-Mosaic).
Thanks a lot, again. Seriously, thank you!! Made my day! (which I spent playing TSM.. =D)

@SilverPrinz: Make sure you have both the d3dx9_31.dll and the resource.cfg file from "How to mod your game for beginners". The resource.cfg controlls the directories that TSM searches through for mods, and the d3dx9_31.dll tricks the engine into running my custom core instead of the original gameplay.package. If you have both of the files, download them both from "How to mod your game for beginners". No other files will work (actually some rare ones do, but not most, so don't try it). Only these. If you don't use the files from this thread, you're using the wrong ones.
Otherwise,
If you would give more details on your actual problem is it would help me figure out your particular issue. Do you see my custom splash screen? Do any other mods work from the mods/package folder? Do any of the other constant options (Wish For Child, Adopt, Murder,etc...) show up?
I would still bet it's a problem with one of the two aforementioned files.

Nope, problem was with the game. I had done a reinstall, but over the top of the previous installation and now I did a complete uninstall then a reinstall, put all my stuff back in mods/packages including the beta core, put in the exact same dll and resource files you mention which I had backed up from before, and presto. It now works again.

I haven't noticed any change with sending kids out to make more room, but honestly, I hate kids in this game (part of the reason for some additions to the core). I'll see if I can figure something out.
I have no list of DEBUG options. Some of the popular options I could describe, but many do nothing in the final game. I did not write these DEBUG options, I only added the line which enables them in my core. If you have a question about a specific option, I or many community members could offer advice. Really this is the best way because some players have messed with individual DEBUG options more than I have.
Any option that appears for some sims but not others is because I'm lazy. I never added the code to when a sim was instantiated, only on a load. I plan to fix this, among other things when I get the time, but for now if you save and reload all options should be added to any viable sim.
@Silverprinz: Glad to hear you have it working correctly. I also appreciate that you have shared the solution. You can't imagine how much user solutions help with a mod like this. Thank you.
I am still planning an update. I can't give a time frame right now, but hopefully within the next month or two. I have added some of the requests, but don't yet have a stable version for upload. I do thank everyone for the great feedback on this mod, and I'll give you the new version as soon as I can. Please be patient, and thank you all.

Hmm installed this mod for P&N, and the male/female pregnancy option doesn't seem to work. I tested with both female/male and male/female checked in options, and my male monarch was able to get pregnant. Unfortunately his body was missing once he was pregnant, so I would like to get the EA default male/female option to work. Has anybody else had this issue with only male/female option checked?

Is the other sim a hero or an npc? If the sim is an npc is your Monarch married to them?
*edit*
Oh I just re-read, what you wrote. You had both switched on at the time you tried? You didn't try with just the 'ea version' selected and nothing else? If that's the case and both were selected then who gets pregnant is dependent on who initiated woo-hoo. To use just the 'ea version' make sure to only have the male/female option selected.

A couple thoughts here:
1) About the debug functions stopping working running Grim's Core, it happens to me all the time. Here is what you do - save the game (important!) then use options to exit to main menu - restart the game and they will work again. It takes care of it on my computer anyway. I think what happens here is the laptop runs out of cache space or something and doing that proceedure resets it.
2) On the pregnancy issues you have - make the NPC a hero and make her selectable then woohoo her, if she does not get PG then have her initiate the next woohoo while they are still in bed, give it a couple goes if still not working then use sim/fix mood to get her drunk and have at it again.. always works for me - once she is PG then while she is still in bed naked retire her from her profession (she has to do this through self-interaction which is why she needed to be selectable) that way she not only will return to her former title but will also change into her former clothes - change her to not selectable and let her go on her way. If of course you are in a mood or want to be absolutely sure then have your hero invite her to spend the night first, that way she will not return home right away.

As someone said in one of the threads this game seems to function a little bit differently for different people on different machines, so experiment until you find a method that works for you.

Hi Chickie,
My hero is a male monarch and the other sim is an NPC female. They are not married. I initially tried many times with just male/female option selected to no avail. The one time I tried with male/female and female/male selected it worked, but i was hopin the NPC female would get pregnant instead of my monarch...
So does it matter if my hero is married to an NPC or not in order to get the NPC pregnant?

NPC's won't get pregnant. You have to marry them to the hero first :(

Is anyone having problems with PnN not giving any options to complete obligations or is it just my game doing this? I have Grim's Core but it does not seem to make any difference if I remove all my mods/packages files or not. That would seem to me to say it is the game and not the mod, correct? Below is a screenshot of the latest instance of this but it happens all the time randomly it seems.

It does. There is this one where the spy has to drink a potion that makes them translucent, then pick a pocket.. that goes ok. Then the spy ends up with a battle plan that has to be given to the advisor and I never have been able to do that. So I get hammered all the time because these stupid obligations can not be completed, its a pain.
Oh, and about the eavesdropping, they were talking when I first tried.. I tried repeatedly for some time. I only made the screenshot to illustrate what I was seeing, even when they are talking it is the same... no eavesdrop. I got frustrated and just offed the dude, was hoping the game would produce one that worked... it did not replace him.

I realized you caught the screenshot later, but for want of a better suggestion, it was all I had, aside from wondering if perhaps adding traits to the spy hasn't upset the game, but I don't use the function, so I can't say if this might happen or not.
The game won't replace that sim until the responsibility comes up again.
Is it just the spy that's having problems?
Best way to tell if it's a problem with the game is to make a spy in a new kingdom and see if the same responsibilities work ok there.
There's nothing wrong with Grim's core that should affect your game, it's more what you do with it. In my understanding some of the functions are experimental and are 'use at your own risk'.
Phantomneko recently had problems with options not appearing for the spies responsibilities too. I don't know if they ever got them fixed or just lived with it through that kingdom.

I am not sure this belongs in this thread, but since it is only possible (so far as I know) by using Grim's Core - I figure its pertinent enough to post here.
I am sure most of you have noticed already that when using "edit in CAS" on a child you get an adult while in CAS which immediately transforms into a sort of fat gnome when you go back into the game. Have you noticed what the sim gnome was wearing? Adult clothing is what, and I do not understand how this is even possible since there are not special gnome clothes and meshes... so anyone figure out yet how the game does this?
What I am thinking is that if the game does a seemingly impossible thing like this we should be able to duplicate it somehow. What I am thinking in short is that there is indeed a teen age group in the game somewhere and with the right stroking it could be nurtured and brought forth as a true simlife form - which of course would require some serious modding which I am way incapable of. Heck, I can barely follow the simple tutorial on cloning and reconstructing a clothing package and am stuck right now at an early phase in it. So what I mean is you guys are the brains, can you look into this please?

Grim, what does the triplet baby basket do exactly? I mean I clicked it and nothing happened that I saw, so I tried it again with the husband. Then a while later I noticed in the friend panel that there were 6 girls with no pictures who were my Sim's daughters. But they never showed up in game. I was hoping it would give me 3 babies, but of course I couldn't get my sim pregnant after that. lol

Well you answered my question as to who the hell the 3 kids are that my King's wife apparently had to the blacksmith, who she has never had a relationship with......only scary thing is, I have never clicked this option, and normally have that whole menu switched off unless I need to edit something in CAS so I know it hasn't accidentally been clicked either, and the everlasting babes seemed to appear when I wasn't even questing on either of those sims.
Totally fits the description of the spookiness in my current kingdom though.
Oh and my everlasting babes seem to be existing in a rock outside the blacksmith's, that's where the map tags are anyway.
Awesome description, loved it.

First of all, I just stumbled on this:
One thing I really like about your mod is being able to change the kingdom aspects.
Wait, Grim's Core lets you change the kingdom aspects?? I've been looking all over for a way to do this. Do we really have that functionality? How do we get to it?
Second of all, is there any way to age-up sims other than ones children? I killed off my monarch, and he was succeeded by his daughter... but now her siblings are stuck as children, no matter what else happens.
Last but not least, thanks for all the great work on this mod!

Ok, people, I exposed some stuff for you to play with. I really don't know what or how everything works. I added a bunch of the DEBUG code in my core. It's all funcions created by EA. I only made them available. Save first, and play with them, that's what I do.
Iestyn: As it stands, only parents can age up children. Some DEBUG commands exist, but they don't work right or at all. In code it's pretty easy. I'll add it to my list of things to add when I get time to mess around with my core again.

Presumably the results are similar to when I tried giving a profession to a child without aging them up? Or maybe not, since that was almost certainly a result of giving adult clothing to a child-sized body.

If you are running Grim's Core, which I assume you are, not only will the cheats enabled patch you mention not work but it is also not needed. Remove it, then go to options, put a check in the box (by clicking on it) for "debug enabled" and there you go. The debug functions will now show in the que when you play the game as usual. You do not need to do anything else, not control+shift+c or anythiing, just play the game. :)

I know Grimreefer responded that there is currently no way to age up children. Yet ... when I play around with the townie children in CAS, they walk around looking funny for a little while and then they start looking like adults. As far as I could tell, all of them then had all the adult interactions.
So maybe that would suffice Iestyn?

Loading problems are almost always caused by running a mod that isn't for the patch-level your game is on, or by a mod conflict.
To fix the first make sure you game is on the latest patch-level, to fix the other remove any other mod/s and see if it works then, if it does put in any other/s 1by1 until game stop loading, then you have found the conflicting one.

Belzader sums it up. Also, see if you have set up your game for mods as outlined in this tutorial (here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=438344). You need both "Resource.cfg" and "d3dx9_31.dll" installed for it to work. That was my problem before and I fixed it by following the tutorial since mods for Sims Medieval work differently than with Sims 3.
It's also good to check if you have TestingCheatsEnabled activated (details here: http://www.modthesims.info/showpost.php?p=3477235&postcount=3) but I don't think you need it if you get Grim's core mod to work. (I'm speculating here, since I play with TestingCheatsEnabled activated as well as with Grim's core mod.)
Credits to Rockerduck for the tutorial and Rick for the cheats list and also grimreefer24601 for creating this wonderful core mod. They're all awesome people.

If you have pirates and nobles it's the correct one.
You can check your version number in the bottom left hand corner of the launcher, which I'm guessing you already have.
If you have then, yes, it's the right one.
Try re-downloading the resource.cfg and d3dx9 file from the stickied thread here http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=438344&page=1

How do you use this to change or influence the gender of pregnant sims' baby?
ChickieTeeta

@Raion125.....you only install the version that will run with your game. Open your launcher and in the bottom left hand corner it will tell you your version number. Download the mod that matches your version number.
@La Carrera....for a girl feed your pregnant sim seafood stew.
For a boy have her eat sweet porridge.
I think it adds something like a 20% chance with each serving to influence the outcome.
@Grim....Just like to say thanks again for all the work you've done. I've given my new monarch a 'Queen Mother' thanks to you with title and all and had her adopt the monarch using the core too (one of the extra royal advisors).
I've found a use for the adopt a child function too, I'm using it to hire child servants. It always annoyed me that the monarch couldn't have a servant go to the shop so I've 'hired' the page boy for that function. My doctor has a junior apprentice and my spy has an urchin. I've never felt the need to adopt kids before but now that I can age the proper kids without giving them a profession I have no-one to run errands for my heroes. (Which for the monarch was dumb anyway, since you wouldn't send a possible heir to the throne on that trek unguarded)
Loving all these features, thank you for helping to allow the little touches of realism that wouldn't otherwise be possible =)

ChickieTeeta, about that last part. How did you do the titles? Like Queen Mother, etc. Also where did you find the page boy, urchin and apprentice? I so want to do this too! What do you mean by aging up the kids? Thanks.

If you have pirates and nobles it's the correct one.
You can check your version number in the bottom left hand corner of the launcher, which I'm guessing you already have.
If you have then, yes, it's the right one.
Try re-downloading the resource.cfg and d3dx9 file from the stickied thread here http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=438344&page=1
and re-download Grim's core and check again.

Assigning titles is in Grim's core. Click assign title and a box pops up to change their title.
Only the Monarch can assign titles.
If you have the core you can choose to adopt a child at the messenger box, and it will give you a list of available 'village' kids. I select the most suitable kid based on the title they already have...sometimes if you don't see one suitable and wait a while you get a couple of different kids listed. I should add that it adds the child as a blood relation, I just ignore this. If you want to let them go for whatever reason, there's also an option to remove the relationship. I haven't done this yet, but in theory the kid should return to living in the village when they're no longer related to your sim.
Grim's core lets you age up the kids without having to retire the hero first. They still live in the house but now you can actually interact with them properly.
It would also be good for just aging up the townie kids, whether out of curiosity or for story telling or whatever. Just adopt them first (since only the parent's can age a child up) and then remove the relationship. I don't know if they'll disappear into the village and be replaced by a new batch of kids though.
I use version 2.0 of Grim's core, and I don't know or remember if these functions are in the other versions too.

I also have v2.0 so no problems there. Thanks, I've already located the age-up option using the princess' father. That's probably why I couldn't find it last time since it does seem to need parents for it to appear.
I have a different method in mind now that you mention adopting. I didn't want to try that out since I knew somewhat that it will add the adopted child as 'family'. Now, I don't mind that but I want a page boy that I can hire and not really adopt. So what I'm going to try is 'adopt' a child with the suitable title, like you said. Then use 'Add to Active Family' to make him go home to the Throne Room, then remove the relationship. I'll post back here with my results.
I have one last question though, my servant (the one that came with the tutorial), doesn't cook anymore when I call for food. It's weird. Does it happen to you?

Do you get a pop-up telling you they weren't able to make it? If you do it's because they got interrupted for whatever reason. If not then I don't know, I've never had a problem with the servants before.

No... no pop-up telling me they'll cook right away or they got interrupted. I murdered the servant now and no one is popping up to replace him. Weird again, since I actually killed off the first servant (this is my second one) and the second one replaced him.
Anyway, I guess I can work around it. Is there an ability to make a sim a servant using the Core Mod?

oh weird, no I've not had that problem before. I killed a servant earlier tonight and the new one works like he should.
I haven't seen anything that will allow you to add servant abilities to a sim, but it would be cool if you could for a Cinderella type story =} but I guess if you added your cinderella sim to your active family it wouldn't be neccessary to add the function as a mod.

If you have the core it should just be an option on your Monarch, available even if you have the debug options switched off. Only the Monarch can assign titles, so perhaps you're not looking on the right character.
I had one village sim that I could never ever get the option to appear on. I wanted her as Queen Mother at the time. I think there's a few it doesn't appear for but it should for the majority of sims.

Just to be absolutely sure, when you go into options and click the very last tab, there are no options at all for switching on and off various functions of the core?
And all your other mods were working fine?
If you don't have the options page and your other mods were fine then you should try re-downloading the dx dll and Grim's core and trying again.

Grim made a male mesh, there's also a version with sliders. They're at sexysims2. Do a search there for medieval and you should find it.

This is really great, cured my sims of the blue-eyed bug!
Are you sure?
I've been using Grim's core since it was released, as have most people, and it's still been a problem for everyone.
However, I have noticed in my last kingdom that the blue-eyed bug seems to be gone completely, and I've been in and out of the wardrobe loads on every character, plus editing NPC's with Edit in Cas, and my newest kingdom doesn't seem to be affected by it either. I think it's probably a fluke/luck whatever you want to call it, but I was half wondering if EA silently fixed this, since it totally should have struck by now. I'll stick with fluke for now though I think.
I did recently clear my game of all downloads, deleted the caches, and ran and saved it mod free around the same time the bug stopped. Then I added Grim's core and ran and saved it with just that in. Then I added most (not all) of the mods back in, and I'm still waiting for the bug to strike. I just know it's going to strike anyday now lol.
Anyone else noticed a lack of the bug recently?

You have to be playing as the Monarch to assign a sim a title.
If the sim appeared in your game after you loaded it the option won't appear. An example of this would be, you loaded the kingdom during the night, the villagers that spawn in the morning won't have the option to be given a title
To solve this...
wait till the sim is there that you want to title,
save and go to the main menu
load the kingdom again and the option should be there
if it's not then that sim most likely can't be titled. Some of them can't ever be, but most of them can.
If you find none of them can then you may not have the version of the core that allows this.
I don't know if the other versions were updated when Grim added the function.

I still didn't have a chance to try it, but it sounds very promising. By the way, how can be new translations added? As a translator, it naturally intrigues me, especially after seeing horrible mistakes in ORIGINAL Polish translation (both grammatical and lexical). That ought not to have happened ever, EA is paid well to prevent such shame.

Hello, came across a tiny problem today when I used the 'retire from profession option'. The game doesn't register my sim's child as inheriting the profession if I aged them up previously. The aged-up child becomes a playable sim until I quit the quest I'm on and then it says I need a new sim for that profession. I tested it on another save and it was the same for every aged-up child. Is this supposed to happen?

I had wondered what would happen if a child had already been aged up before the parent's demise/retirement. I think this answers it, so thank you.
I'd guess it's kind of meant to happen, since the game is looking for a child to age up and then inherit the profession. Having a ready made adult inherit must be throwing it off, the game wasn't intended to function that way.
I'd imagine you can fix it by using the 'make me x profession' function and that should allow them to maintain the status you're expecting them to have.
I use it on the monarch to keep the kneeling animation throughout a kingdom, and haven't had any problems on him.

I use it on my Monarch to keep the kneeling throughout a kingdom. I haven't run into any problems on him yet...although he started off as a Monarch anyway.
The function will reset the sims profession to lvl 1, like they're brand new to the role (which is what's needed to keep the kneeling), and then you use the make me x level option to add the levels back if they had any, and the add a level option if they had bonus levels.
It's as safe to use as aging the kids up before they're ready to take a profession....
If you start assigning more than 1 sim to a heroes job at the same time, like having 2 knights or whatever, then that can eventually lead to problems, but if your aged up child is going to be the sole Monarch then it should be fine.

So...I've been searching and searching this thread, but so far I haven't found an answer to the issue I've been having. I have the d3dx9_31.dll installed and in the right place, and have all of my mods/packages folders set up, along with the correct version of this core for the patch I have on TSM. However, when I try to begin the program, it will not even start up.
I've even completely separated the components in the d3dx9_31.dll in 7-Zip and instead put those in the Bin folder, and I'll get further. But then I'll only encounter the same thing as many people, where I'll get to the custom loading screen and it won't load.
The game loads normally without the cores and d3dx9_31.dll involved, but as soon as they're put in, the issues begin.
Ideas?

I completed one quest OBJECTIVE (going to town square for the genie quest) after aging my child. Not sure if this is a broken part of the mod or if I'm doing something wrong. What should happen when you click age up, is the child should disappear, and reappear elsewhere as an adult, if you can't find them best thing is to locate them in the relationship panel and turn their map tag on.
I don't know why it isn't working for you.

You can age them up by using edit in cas too, its a bit more involved but it works. You need to do basic traits, when you open it the game will remove one of them. If you want to keep the sim as a child do not put it back in. If you want to age up the child then provide the missing trait and check to accept it then leave cass. After this you will have a gnome looking sort of sim and use age up child to fix that. Save the game, exit to menu and restart it. If the sim is still not a normal looking adult there are two options in sim under aging that will fix it. In the past I would use fix mood, since this gives the sim some drinks and a child can not drink it also will correct the sim to a full adult. I only posted all this alternate method stuff in case it bothers you the sim disappeared and you had to find it again doing things the other way. Using this alternate method the sim does not disappear,.

OK, this is the first time I used the male pregnancy option and it got things messed up. Totally this is my own fault no doubt, but still I am stuck and would like to know what to do. Since this is the Master Builder I messed up, if I kill him off (which I can do) the quest will end a fail. This is not the best thing, so if there is any other way I will do that. I have tried change clothes, he has none; plan outfit, none show up; and edit in CAS, this locks up on loading and I need to use Task Manager to close the game. I have tried resetting the sim, nothing happens; save Carry Over, it will not save one; load Carry Over using a different sim I saved as a CO, this does nothing either. Are there any more options?
After the guy got PG, I downloaded and installed Grim's MaleMaternityClothing.package, but this did not bring back his clothes. Once he had the baby he did not get his clothes back either.

My game doesn't seem to have an options menu. I know the mod is installed; I've got a ton of new cheats (many of which I don't understand- Is there documentation for this mod? I missed the link for it) and my sim has a few new menus like set profession and murder by. Are the options supposed to be under the sim menu or do I have to use a cheat to enable this new menu?
The whole reason I want this mod is to figure out a way to get my blacksmith to meet the npc I usually have him marry, Flowerseller Penelope. She hasn't shown up at all in my game this time around. If I can't meet her, I'd like to change another NPC, so is there any way with this mod to change the NPC's title, as in change Poor Cathy to Maid Cathy or something else?

Flower Seller Penelope is one of the iconic sims, and there's quite a few of them so you won't always get the same ones in every kingdom, you have a certain percent chance of getting them and there's a cap on how many of the iconic sims will be generated in one kingdom.
I haven't tried, but I'd guess if you wanted to try and force her to spawn you could kill off another iconic sim and see if she takes their place, don't know how many times you'd have to do that before you were successful though, or if you'd be successful at all.
If you want to change the title of an npc to something else, and your monarch doesn't have the title option when you click on the npc, saving, exiting to the menu and reloading normally fixes this. Some NPC's can never be re-named though, so if reloading doesn't add the option then you probably can't rename them.

how do you age children with this mod? I see that there is an option in the notes at the first post, but cannot find the option when I have debug enabled while in game.

You can only age a child using one of the parent's.
There should be 2 options for it, one to age and assign a profession, and one to just have them age up.
It's not part of the debug menu, so I'm fairly sure you should see it even if you have debug disabled.

Is grimreefer24601 still around? I have not seen a post from him lately but its probably that RL has him busy or something. Anyway, Grim. if you read this I have a couple of Questions for you:
1) Concerning your mod, MaleMaternityClothing.package. does this work with 2.0.113? I have installed it but it does not seem to be working for me. Is it possible you could do an updated version of it for us to use, if it is not compatible with the latest release?
2) Can you show me how you make that mod so maybe I can work on it?
It would solve the problem if it could be made to work.
----quick update----
I wanted to let everyone know that an old mod which Grim made for Male Pregnancy clothes still works, at least it does with my game running 2.0.113 and I do believe that anything which works for it should also work for Pirates and Nobles. Here is the download link for it: http://chii.modthesims.info/getfile.php?file=1215531 (I hope this helps you all out}.

Thank you for bringing patterns back! I got the game after the pattern patch came out, so I missed playing around with them before.
To see what would happen I saved a favorite pattern, some outfits using patterns, and a sim in my test kingdom wearing an outfit with a pattern, then took the core out of my mod folder and reopened the test kingdom. The game reloaded without a hitch, and going into edit in cas allowed me to use the pattern I'd saved to favorites when making new outfits and use the saved outfits with no problems. So even if you don't plan to always have the core in, fiddling around with patterned outfits is safe as far as I can tell!

Looks good. That pattern applied in a faded green, a greenskin, the right hair color and the hat/hair with the leaves plus some face adjusting and it could make a decent plantsim.

Maybe instead of sims2 plantsims they could aim for a green man look, like all those carvings. With leafy beards for the male sims.

Is this a recent addition? Do I have to download and reinstall it?

Yes, download and reinstall it, it was added to the core 2 days ago. It's in the first post.
Really nice to see you're still around =)

I can't get the mod to work, it crashes whenever I try to load the game.
EDIT: Specifically, I have the resource.CFG file, it's in my C:program filex(x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims Medieval folder. I have the Dxwhatever file in my Bin folder, not the bin folder. I have the debug enable folder in my Mod/packages folder, alongside the Grim Core mod.
I enabled the test cheats.
When I try to start the game, it crashes at the loading screen.

Debug Enabler is a core mod, and conflicts with my core mod. However it's functionality is in my core, so it's unecessary to have both.

I have installed Grims mod to the sims medieval/mods/packages. It works in-game but my Pirates and Nobles ambition Peacemaker is locked even though I have the expansion installed. I tried putting the mod in the sims medieval pirates and nobles/mods/packages instead but still its locked. What am I doing wrong?

Did you try removing the mod and see if the ambition is unlocked then? If it is then it is most likely another mod you have is conflicting, if it is locked then you know its not caused by the mod. In any case I do not think Grim's core is your problem since many of us are using it without problems.

Sorry, moonflowfly, I have no issue selecting Peacemaker, and as Silverprinz says, "many of us are using it without problems". That doesn't mean "you" have an issuse, but it does call into question other mods you have loaded. First, I don't think this will help because this should cause a crash, but make sure you have the latest core, not my latest whim that I added, but the 2.0 core any version. Any of the 2.0 cores should work fine with P&N. Otherwise, try GMC alone, and see if you get different results. Also, let me know what mods you're using, if the above doesn't help, me knowing which mods you have may lead me to a solution.

I completely emptied my mods/packages folder I had UnlockAlllAmbitions mod (Just checked now and that seemed to be the issue with the locked ambition).
So I have only downloaded GrimsMedievalCore_V_2_0_13_beta.zip (Am I picking the right one?) and put the .package into the packages folder and it is just stuck on the loading screen now.

Great mod, just a quick question. With the "get pregnant" option, does it impregnate the sim you click or the sim whom you are currently controlling?

moonflowfly: I take it you ran the game with no mods at all, and it works right? (That's how you concluded it was UnlockAlllAmbitions?). There was one mod if I remember right that you couldn't remove, I don't think it was that one, but I really don't remember, and I can't find the thread. That's why I ask about running with no mods at all. You are running the correct version of the mod for the updated base game and P&N.Which load screen do you get stuck on the main load screen, or the kingdom load screen? Stuck loading can mean very different things depending on which screen it sticks on.
Xlaw10: The description does say it, but in any case when either sim can become the mother it is the sin who initiates the WooHoo that gets pregnant.

I am uploading a new beta version of the mod. This represents a major change in the way I handle a lot of things. It a lot cleaner system, and more accurate, not to mention fixes some bugs. The main thing you will notice is the new Options Menu that allows you to enable or disable Core feature. The other thing is a new spell addition Deadly Arrow which kills the target sim.
Since it's such a major change I've decided to make the last version my official stable version, and keep it here for anyone who wants that. It does include the returned CAS Patterns, but it only returns that code to the original. I've figured I'd probably better keep a version history, so this one's version is 2.0.13.001. The new beta is 2.0.13.002.beta.
The package names have been changed in the stable version, so if you've previously used my core you'll need to delete the old beta package.
