Hi, I'm new to the forums here but have played almost since day1 of the sims1 (almost because I had a few breaks, but I did get the original sims on day 1)
I'm making a world on CAW and would like some input, so far it is mostly done except for a few buildings here and there, pictures taken from EIG to avoid yellow boxes.
New screenshots uploaded. Almost ready for testing. Just a few more buildings to add then I might upload it. Doesn't seem like anyone is interested in my work.

Just a few of them. 2nd city is mostly done but no trees. Ground textures needed and needs to be prettyifyed more.

Thank you, I'll be working on it tommorow to get the last few buildings completed and will hopefully be testing it on friday, been working on it for a while now. My first town didnt work out so well. Went to test it and it was so buggy I gave up on it. Live and Learn.

Cool, I never have the patience to stay with CAW more than a minute. But I think I can make some input here, from the view of a world user, I think the color transition is not smooth, the mountain should be green in this kind of setting or the terrain have to be lighter, more cold-weather-like. Addition of a beach should be nice too.

Maybe you should post this over in the CFF forum? Link: http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=612
Anyway, here's some feedback. Some good, and some bad, since you mentioned that you might want to upload it.
I like the mountains, though I think the snow caps are a bit large. They should be smaller.
Why is everything SO flat? I can understand if you are trying to replicate a real world setting where much of the land is flat, but otherwise, why?
Also, I hope you don't plan to upload this world any time very soon. No offense intended, but it looks a long way from being ready. Good worlds can take a long, and I mean very long time to make. I've been kind of working on one since about March or so, and it's nowhere near ready. Though to be fair, I haven't been working on it exclusively in that time. Don't bother to look up the CFF thread on it, since I haven't updated it in ages.

Even from this high up, I can see that the tracks don't line up. Also, the dam doesn't connect to anything. What is this, SimCity 2000? You can't get anything out of dam with no actual river.

I have moved your thread to the Creator Feedback Forum, as it appears you are looking for feedback on your work.
Looks like you have a nice start going, but at the moment it's looking a bit stiff and unrealistic - mountains that go right up to the water and then fall off into nothing, terrain paint that doesn't taper softly, bright white snow that just suddenly stops in rather jagged lines, and no distant terrain combined with a very square shape and completely flat land besides the mountains. Now, I know exactly how much work it takes to make a world - I've been working on one for the better part of a year now! But it might be worth it to take a look at some EA or good custom worlds (kiwi_tea here at MTS makes great ones) for some inspiration on terrain sculpting and painting to get a more varied and realistic look. :)

something very important I noticed is that you don't have any sand by the shore. Also, I don't think it's a great idea to mix mountains and water. It's kind of like mixing 2 different climate zones into one town! So I would at least turn them into hills and maybe put a road leading up to houses in the middle of it.
Also, I don't have specific feedback on how to go about doing this, but it looks a bit flat. To make it look more realistic and 3-D, I would mix the terrain paints because it looks like you got one terrain paint there. Other than that it's good!

Put Twin cities on hold for now. Seems my computer wont run large maps for some reason. I'll make a new thread with the new city later but right now I can say it is smaller, hillier (is that a word?) and no snow.
