Just to note this isn't me asking how to fix this, since I am aware its at least partly a bug from what I can tell on official forums. No idea how it happened though really. Not too attached to this sim, but just thought I'd share the experience nonetheless.

So I had a sim, who lived with 2 roommates in Riverview. Eventually got tired of them, so moved her out and into her own home. About 2 weeks after moving in I noticed I kept getting spammed with memories. Ie. She just wrote her first novel (she had just written like novel 25), First day of work (level 9 on Music career), etc.

Further curious, I noticed she forgot her old roommates and everyone else in town except her co-workers. I checked to see if they even still lived in town and hadn't moved, and they were still there. Weird.

Then lastly I checked her scrapbook, and it was totally cleared, only having like 3 snapshots claiming to be "first time" memories. But was just taken seconds earlier.

I have no mods that affect memories (been considering it though). On newest patch, which I have had some odd experiences with (mostly prom/recital activities being weird - but that was in Bridgeport).

Anyone else ever experience this bizarre phenomenon?

Has your sim been taking any pills?

Definitely a bug, but a funny one :) Just watch out for more glitches, if there are more, your game file might be corrupted.

Do you know if this has been fixed? Because it happened to me recently and I have the game updated up to the latest patch.

Sorry for the necro, but I'm having a similar issue with 2 of my sims. It started not long after the two boys died in a house fire and I used debugenabler to bring them back. All mods have been updated and the issue still persists ):

On the upside it didn't kill their prom photos (whew) but it's getting terribly annoying... I even evicted them/brought them back and nothing helped.

I don't know if this is right, but it's possible... this is what happened to me.
I had eight sims in the household- Mother, father, three children, one childs husband and her three children.
I wanted to get the two other kids married so I moved out the husband, got them married and moved out, and then moved him back in.
He didn't remember anything. He'd forgotten that his wife and his kids were his wife and his kids. He'd forgotten all his memories too.
It's something to do with splitting the household in my game, I think.
