Hey guys,
I have been searching everywhere for something similar to my problem, but I feel I am alone in this. After Installing Pets correctly, backing up my files yada yada yada, I noticed that a certain amount of beds are having issues. When one sim gets into bed, the other half disappears. Another sim can still interact with it, but they lay there floating on practically nothing. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I will repeat that it only happens to a select number. Two out of the 4 beds that are on the lot show this.
Note: I am not having any other issues besides this. I have fixed all of my crashes with DEP settings and mods etc.

No, you aren't alone, I'm having the same problem.I know the patch/Pets messed up custom objects but these are EA beds I'm having problems with.

It seemed a little funny to me that it was just base game beds too. I have some store item beds that work just fine!

My Sim was sleeping with her eyes open the entire time!! It was very creepy. Her boyfriend closed his eyes as soon as he hit the sack. Maybe the game has gone sexist against woman Sims sleeping properly!!!

When you say "a certain amount of beds", do you mean particular bed styles? The one in your screen looks like a basegame bed... are they all basegame beds? or from EPs, SPs or the store? Would help to know exactly which ones are affected.
CC beds ARE messed up by Pets, and so are Store beds, unless you've patched them. Basegame, EP and SP beds should have been updated by the Pets patch, though. Basically, both the rig and the slots were modified, for beds and a few other object types.
There's extensive discussion of this in the thread in Site News.

What I have found is that they are primarily base beds like the one shown in the picture however, the 2nd bed that has been acting funny is a store bed which I patched.

Hey guys,
I have been searching everywhere for something similar to my problem, but I feel I am alone in this. I have seen this issue where certain CC beds cause ALL base game beds to display the same behavior. When I dug into the CC bed details, I found that the creator had included a rig and slot resources that were the same ID as the EA ones. Since they were identical to the originals before the patch, it wasn't an issue. Since both the rig and the slots changed in the patch, the fact that they had the same ID as the EA versions meant that ALL beds that used the original EA version were using the CC creator's copy of them instead.
The best way to find this is to remove all CC beds, and test to make sure the problem goes away. Then add the CC back in 1 bed at a time until it breaks it. That CC bed is the cause of the break (keep going, there may be more than one).
Once you know which one or ones are causing the issue, please let the creators of those beds know so they can update their files.

I have only one Third Party CC bed. So I think taking that out might work. I have the Bare Essentails bed. Do you think that might be the culprit?
Update: Woot! Sheets are now shared and my woman simmie is no longer cold while sleeping! I believe it was the CC bed I had! Thank you!!

For those creators who have beds that they need to update, I have posted a quick mini-tutorial on how to correct the issue here. (http://sims3.the-prof.net/forums/index.php/topic,1472.msg2225.html#msg2225)

Is there anything we non-creators can do to fix the bed issue?

If you're comfortable with S3PE you can follow the tutorial, or you can look for an update from the person who created your CC bed :)
