View Full Version : Is there any way to make the furniture stay in the game?

I downloaded a couple of room designs (collection of items) and my game crashed while loading. I deleted these items so the game started to run as it used before. It also crashed when I added single item (chair) to the game, so I had to delete it too.
Is there any other way to add furniture to Sims 2 and for the game to load? Or how can I fix the existing problem? I really want new furniture in my SIms2...

And also one more problem. I downloaded a dress for my sim, and it appeared to be in the game when I'm creating new family. But as soon as I save the family and move to town, the dress disappears and my sim is dressed in some other clothes. The new dress also doesn't appear in the store when I wanted to buy it.

It sounds to me like you're consistently using custom content that your game can't handle. The first thing to do is compare the EPs you have to the EPs used when making the custom items. If an item is cloned from an item in an EP you don't have, at best it won't show up in game; at worst it'll make your game malfunction.

You can't fix it (the object). You have to have the correct Expansion Sets installed on your computer. If an item requires University, then it (University) must be installed on your computer. Likewise, for all other Expansions and Items. If you don't have the proper expansions, you could cause your game to crash. -tbudgett
