View Full Version : Auto-noms Pet Feeder problems

I've been playing around in Appaloosa Plains and all seems well...my other installed worlds...not so much. So far its only the auto-noms feeder so I guess I'm lucky. I created a family with pets in Bridgeport, moved them into a house and bought the auto-noms. I had my sim add the auto sensor and fill it. Nada, nuttin, zip. My pets couldn't use it. No interaction was available. I exited without saving, grabbed my little sim family from the bin and moved them into a house. Bought the auto-noms but this time I just filled it and nada, nuttin, zip part 2. The regular pet dishes work fine. The only mod I have is the no-intro. I hadn't played with Pets in any other world before I added Hidden Springs this morning so I'm not sure if HS borked it or if it was borked beforehand. Anyone else having this problem?

Can't say I have, sorry. Mine works perfectly in my game (AP).
Although the only thing that pops into my head is: EA is scamming you out of your cold, hard, virtual sim-cash.
$100 bucks for food is not cheap!

Well I played around with my installed content and found that for some odd reason the Spellbook from the Gothic Library was causing problems. Just having it installed apparently glitches things. (Didn't have the Library placed in town and I didn't have the spellbook on any of my lots) I've tested my game for 3 hours with various families and the auto-noms works fine since I uninstalled the Library and its content...WTG EA..I wasted real money on that dang thing..grrrr stupid store content

Hello catscelt. It's been widely reported that the "fountain of youth" from the Hidden Springs Sims3pack is the real culprit. It will mess up the animations of many things, including the Gothic Spellbook and the fancy uber toilet gizmo. Conflicting data, which EA have neither attempted to remedy nor stated that they will. In fact, regarding store content, their licencing conditions state thet they are not obliged to fix broken store content. So your guess is as good as anyone's if they ever will. There is a fix over a MATY that will remove the conflicting data, but it does mean having package versions of the fountain and spellbook in the mods folder. After I tried it, everything was smooth again, including the uber toilet and the new auto pet feeding gizmo.
