question 1.) can an accessory "pull" from a skintone, like the face texture or body texture like in this (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=401468) tutorial?

question 2.) i know the answer lies in a metaphysical state between many tutorials but is not actually stated anywhere. How do you add multiple new meshgroups to something that normally only has one. Like adding a "shiny, dull, and alpha" group to... say a Servo, which normally possesses just a "body" or "mask" meshgroup.

CatOfEvilGenius's alpha skirt tutorial explains how to add mesh groups, but I don't know if that's what you mean. Do you want to add new groups to an existing mesh (like a Servo), or are you trying to make something new and custom?

well, in short, I'm making a new servo. I need to add an alpha meshgroup and probably a shiny and dull meshgroup too. I've extracted the servo meshes and modified them, so in this case, i need to add new meshgroups to an existing model.

But having that info for making sim content in general would probably be helpful as well.
