Hey Guys,
I've been wondering for a while now about the number of levels you can have for any build you have in game. I think its five above ground and four below.
I know the number of above ground floors are limited to stop you computer having a meltdown with the amount of data it would have to process if you had, for example, 12 floors above ground, but when you go below ground, the only thing on screen is that level and nothing else.
So my question is, has anybody come across a mod or even a tut on how to increase the number of levels you can have below ground?

How about this, is in the tutorials: http://www.modthesims.info/article.php?t=360606

It's a bit old, but so far i have not seen reports that it would not work anymore.

If you are looking for a mod that allows you to have more than 5 actual levels, I'm not sure if one exists or is even possible, but you can try your luck at our "Where can I find...?" section.

Thanks for the response.
I've seen that tut before and thought it was cool, but what I want is more levels Below ground.
I've had loads of ideas for massive underground tombs and other such things but I never manage to get what I want because of the restrictions imposed by EA on the number of basement levels I can have.
Is there anyway I can get around this and have more basement levels?

I'm sorry, I read, but didn't thing fully.. Below xD Put that in the account of me not being a native English speaker ;)

My best guess would be that if it was even possible, it would require a core mod (or a heavy script mod at least.)

You can use a foundation on top of cause, but it would be visible ...

Another thing is ... I have a cave system lot on my mind too. I'm gonna use cfe to place new basements on the same level, but lower. You just lower the ground and build a new basement on top of the other. That may give you more options.
