How do I add "related downloads"?SupersolvedYayThanks

I finally found were I could put in related downloads but emediately got a problem:

If you want to add additional recolours, related threads or otherwise "link" this download to others on MTS2, you may enter text in this box (vbcode only, no HTML) "

Please what is vbcode and how do I do that? I tried to google that earlier, but seriously didnt understand a thing. Tutorial anyone?

vbcode is just tags like "img" and "url". Same tags you use in the main text of the thread. To look up all the tags MTS supports, go to the Site menu, Website FAQ, scroll down to the bottom of the FAQ, look at the teeny tiny box labelled Posting Rules, then look for the itty bitty link that says vbcode. Or just follow my quick link here (http://modthesims.info/misc.php?do=bbcode).

Leesester you make a better presentation (visual learner here) of what Im supposed to understand...but what am I supposed to put inside the threadthumb thing? Where do I get it?
I have figured out how copy-paste an adress for a page (some time ago), but from what is inside your threadthumb thats not how Im supposed to do it...

I hope someone can get through my head and help me.

What's inside the threadthumb is the last part of the link to the page. So you get www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=1234567, you take the numbers at the end and put them in the tag.

It's also worth pointing out that you've used vbcode in both your posts - to do bold and italics. If you scroll to the bottom of the site you'll see "Powered by: vBulletin version 3.0.14". vBcode is vBulletin code, aka formatting code that you can use on vBulletin forums - that's all it means. :)

The number for what goes inside is the number at the end of the download you want to link to.

*hug* It's because I'm not good at explaining. :) I misunderstood your question. You asked for a tutorial, an example, but I gave you a tag list.

The examples above show you how to add a "related page" image and link, when the related thread is on ModTheSims. I will give you an example of how to add a "related page" image and link for a thread that is NOT on ModTheSims. If you look at my tied halter tops (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=374467) thread, in the Related Page tab, you will see an image/link that takes you to a recolor of my mesh posted in Garden Of Shadows. The threadthumb tag will not work for non-MTS pages, but the url and img tags will work.

These all go on one line, but I put them on separate lines to make it easier to read.
To get the page address, or url, copy everything in your browser's address bar.
To get the image address, right click on an image, select View Image, then copy everything in the browser's address bar. Or you can right click the image, and select Copy Image Location.
Replace ( ) with [ ]

Phaenoh, yep those are 3 of the related I wanted to put in. CatofEvilGenius Zombie contacts are the other one (fourth). Supercomplete Keen Eyes. Unless there are freaks that dont like maxis alien eyes, never heard of any alien defaults or seen any or anything ;) They can suffer for their weirdness.
Definately not making any more plunges.

CatOfEvilGenius, ahh. Much better tutorial :D
And if my wanted related things had not been only on MTS I definately would have been in trouble without it, since no other wizzzard mentioned that ;)
