Hi MTSimmers,

I've just completed my first object mesh set, it's a dining room set. It includes 1-1x1 Table, 1 Chair, 1-3x3 Round Rug, and 1-1x1 Chandelier. I haven't "fully" tested all meshes out in my game (except for the table), but I was just looking for feedback before I proceed to test the rest and then submit for upload. Now let me break down the info for each mesh okay:

Table 1x1 - 2 Color Channels - 686 Vertices
Chair - 3 Color Channels - 314 Vertices
Chandelier - 2 Color Channels - 128 Vertices
Rug - 1 Color Channel & 1 preset with a non-recolorable overlay - 337 Vertices

Is there anything I should add to this set to make it more complete like curtains? Suggestions Please! :help:

All photos are in-game shots, f.y.i.

It looks great for your first mesh set, it's totally up to you if you want to add more to the set.
Maybe a larger dining table what sits 4 to 6 Sims or a curtain would be nice, or a deco object for the table or a plant, like I said it's up to you.

I personally like sets what have more then 4 objects in it, but that's just me, you could leave it as is. Nice job.

It looks very cute so far, curtains are always welcome :).

I will also comment on the "technical bits" if that is ok.

Like the uv mapping, you may want to tweak the tiling values a little bit, the uv mapping pictures are showing that the pattern squares are more rectangular than square and that means that patterns will stretch. If changing the tiling values does not help then you may have to adjust the mapping in your UV mapping software. You also may want to do a little resizing in the UV map so that the patterns are in scale.

Usual tiling values are - if the mask is 256 by 256 then 1x1, if 512 by 1024 then 2x4 and so on.

The groundshadow of the table is very small and dark - you can try remapping the groundshadow group to a lighter blob on the dropshadow image or resizing it. Same on the table.

It would be good to also show a sim sat at the table so we can clearly see how much clipping there is on the seat of the chair (if any)

Thanks Leesester,

I'll look into the mapping thing. I was able to create some curtains. Image uploaded above.
