Hello, I am back and yes I am not dead.
For a few months now Gates Cove has lay dormant on my hard-drive, gathering what ever bit-dust occurs, while I pondered its future. As of this week I have decided to completely restart Gates Cove, yes I know a drastic option and one I didn't chose lightly. For the last 5+ versions it has been the same bugs because of my early creation in CAW, in the beginning I never used the grid or flatten lots or had any real vision for it, it was my own little project, a place for my little simmies. As of a few days, I re-built my computer and I thought it was the perfect time. So I have re-started Gates Cove, with a lot more understanding and knowledge going into it.

Description
Gates Cove is a volcanically formed island far away from any civilization the perfect to escape and create the perfect community where no-one is disadvantaged. Creating a Perfect Experience for your Sims to grow up and develop in.

In his full retirement Bill Gates needed somewhere settle down and with people of his liking such as the founders of Google, but the Medina, Washington wasn’t perfect. After endless hours of Google Earthing, spotted this perfect island from the air. He invited some of his friends and got to work building an island for the ultimate nerds. Now the town is populated with the top business people. Some millionaire resident’s include people such as Sergey Brin and Larry Page from Google or the founder of Microsoft Bill Gates or his arch rival but good friend Steve Jobs from Apple.

I now feel like I'm missing something here and I don't wanna go looking for the old thread. You couldn't just wake up the old one and thrash this one? Don't worry about starting a new thread you want use. It will be on page 4 before you know it.

I trashed the old thread months ago, and you haven't missed much, I wanted to get feedback from the start.

I think the question 'What was wrong with the last version' is irrelevant really, especially as you have started again. :)

Could you perhaps describe some of the lots, and post more pictures? The more images we have, the more we can give you feedback!

The only thing I can really comment on so far is that the terrain paint would be better with more work, perhaps blend some different grass textures, shade the rock and vary the sand a little.
