What do you think of my house?

So I think this is the right forum for this >.>

Anyways I built a smallish/mediumish type house for my town Mayor to live in. I kind of like the way it turned out and I might add some extra things to it..
It has a master bedroom and a small bedroom, 2 bathrooms a kitchen and dining in the same room and a smallish lounge room/study.
It wasn't meant to be for a super rich person, just someone who likes to live leisurely but not over-the-top.

I was thinking of uploading it and maybe changing the study to a lounge room for those who might want a small family to live there.
At the moment I have my town Mayor (like I said) living in it, but I can move him out and redo the interior if anyone wants to see the inside.

Edit: I added some pictures of the inside, but not the bedrooms or bathrooms yet.

(Btw, the roof is green atm because I have a rule in the 'hood that all house roofs must be the same colour, for the sake of things fitting in.)
So I was wondering... what do you think of my house? Is it good enough for an upload? :P

I think you did a really good job on this house! It looks great with the nice landscaping and it has a good layout.

I would keep the green roof the way it is. I think it looks nice with the green.
I think that the stone on the entryway porch looks odd against the brick on the house. Maybe you should try a different type of floor there. That's just my opinion, It's totally up to you!

Anyway, your garden seems a little too empty (but maybee that's just me). The entry looks too empty too.
You could furnish all the rooms too, I think it would be better, but after all that's your house, do as you like.

Needs a bit more terrain paint, dirt/mulch/etc under the trees/shrubs/plants.

The stone on the porch is odd, I'd go with wood instead as it makes more sense. The fence around the yard needs a few more posts. About every 3-4 tiles would be more realistic.

If your going to furnish, I also recommend furnishing the whole thing. At least with the basics for each room, you don't have to decorate (with clutter) the whole house. I guess I'd say take out the half wall thing in the kitchen, IMO it looks silly.

I like your house. I think you have a lot of wasted space though.

The ground floor bathroom is huge, does it need to be that big? Do you need 2 full bathrooms for a 2 bedroomed house? If you made the downstairs bathroom half the size you could make room for a separate office or extend the lounge.

Upstairs there is a huge landing area with nothing in it. Maybe you could add office space here or even another bedroom? Or give the master bedroom an en suite and dressing room?

And I agree with Lunie that the rooms should all be furnished or none furnished. And I also don't like the halfwall in the kitchen.

Personally I'm a little troubled with the green roof. It doesn't really match anything else on the house so it's giving me kind of an headache. Have you tried a light roof? A beige one etc? And I agree with the others that there's too much empty space on the lot. For this house one of the long and thin lots would have been better, so I would concider adding more to the garden or maybe a garage or swimming pool? Try to combine it well with the house though!

Another thing is the outdoor chess table. The dining chairs doesn't really work outside I think. Maybe you can switch to the grey chess table instead? The boxy one if you understand?

I like the form of the house, as I havent seen many long, thin houses that has looked very good, so that is a big plus! When it comes to the interior I would skip the half wall in the kitchen, or use the one without that tall fencing on. I also think the kitchen looks a bit plain. You should add something that fits the blue chairs! Sprite it up a little :) And as the other said, you need to put more stuff in your almost empty room or they would just seem a bit of a waste. It might be enough with some plants, carpets or hall tables.

Thanks for the replies. As I said :P The roof is that way because of the neighbourhood rules that it's in. I'm using this house at the moment and I haven't finished furnishing it yet, that's why it's so empty. I will definitely change the stone on the landing. For uploading this, I'd put the office items upstairs where it's open and change the study to a lounge room. I'd furnish it all and change the landscaping and add to it. Also, the roof colour will change lol.

I actually kind of the like the half-wall in the kitchen--and makes me want to try messing around with the half-walls with stuff on top of them (I usually just use the very plain ones). But I have kind of weird tastes, so you'd probably appeal to more people without it (especially in a house that size).

the fence looks a bit funny, just because there are no fence posts in between corners.
