Currently in my game I am playing an elder sim. I want her to date a townie, but he is an adult. In my game it would be odd for them to have an adult/elder relationship, is there a way I can get him to age up?

One way to do it would be to get him/her into the household then use boolprop to set the sims birthday and age up normally after that.

Personally I don't think it would be odd to have an adult-elder relationship at all. If they like each other as they are, go for it! Age hasn't stopped Dina Caliente from dating Mortimer Goth, after all.

ETA: I can't read. XD I thought you were asking if it would be weird, not just flat-out stating it.
ETA again: SimBlender would allow you to teleport them over and age them up.

I'm a fan of the SimBlender myself for this type of stuff. Just invite the Sim over make them selectable and age them up, don't forget to make them unselectable after you've finished.

Or, if you're like me and you're scared of things you don't know about (like SimBlender), obviously you can have him move in with your sim, move him out so he goes in the family bin, move him onto his own lot and 3speedup through his life until he turns into an elder.... :p

Shift+click to make him selectable, set to birthday, and then click him and make him grow up :)

I'm like Vimpse and am not overly comfortable with boolproop or SimBlender. I tend to favor object mods like Inge's teleporter cat for grabbing townies and releasing them back into the townie pool after I've adjusted their clothing, hair, names, personalities, etc. I prefer to use Merola's multi-painting for adjusting age, personality, and aspirations.

The cat (http://drealm.info/simlogical/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2_Teleporters.htm)
The famous painting (http://www.simchaotics.net/Files/MerolaSims2/MultiPainting.htm)
A one tile version of it (http://www.drealm.info/simlogical/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2_Feeling_MerolaPainting.htm)
Some recolors (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Sweet_Coventry/files/) and there are more out there.

Actually, you don't even have to make them selectable; you can use the Blender with any sim to age anybody.

...SimBlender IS an object mod. It looks like a small, potted tree.

Do you have Freetime? Make sure he gets to know somebody who's about to age up, and take him with you.

I like the Sim Manipulator myself. You just click on the ground (home or community lot) and spawn all sorts of stuff...like Sim Spawner (summon a Sim), Death and Creature Manipulator (cure witchiness or make a Sim a vampire at will). Must have.
