Hello. As the title says, I am experiencing lag and the occasional crash on my month and a half old computer. The crashes are intermittent, but I've been getting about 2-3 a week for the past four weeks or so. The lag is much more consistent. It's very noticeable in live mode, less so in build and buy mode. Most recently, I was play testing a house in armiel's Builder's Island- DIY, and with only one house and four sims in the whole world the lag was quite bothersome. While I can tolerate it, I am worried that it is caused by a hardware problem, in which case I would like to get it taken care of as soon as possible.
I had my computer built by a local techie guy in the area, and he's already been out to troubleshoot it once. Unfortunately, however, it ran perfectly while he was here and so there was nothing he could do. Basically, I'd like to find out if I should be encountering as much lag as I am on a computer with my specs and if the occasional crash and freeze up is normal. Thank you. :)
What I've Tried:
1. Deleted caches.
2. Removed all CC, including the contents of the DCCache folder. I later replaced it all after I noticed no difference in the amount of lag I was having.
3. Checked the GPU's temperature while playing. I played for about 10-15 minutes while running SpeedFan, and the hottest it got was about 60 degrees Celsius. Not sure if that's good or bad though, lol.
4. Checked my graphics card drivers. They are up to date according to the NVIDIA website.
5. Ran process monitor, but nothing seemed abnormal.

On the drives, I wasn't sure which one you needed so I listed both. As for what I tried, I did not try to remove my user files, but I can do that if you think it would help narrow down/fix the problem. Also, I looked over the patching information, as when I patched it was through the game launcher, but I got a bit confused. It appears that I am all up to date, but if you think that could be one of the issues I'll go read over those articles again.
Finally, I want to mention that my loading times are very, very fast. I can go from clicking the game icon to playing in less than five minutes. (Closer to three, really.) I'm not sure why I have so much lag in the game though. I apologize if I'm missing something blatantly obvious. Thank you for your time. :)
