So, after searching for several hours I've pretty much come to the conclusion that there isn't a Mac compatible Photoshop DDS-Plugin. And I haven't had much luck finding one for GIMP either.
I did find this:
http://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/downloads/list and downloaded the gimp-dds-2.0.9.tar.bz2 file. But I have not a clue what to do with the file after downloading. The Readme file didn't help much and neither did the Install file. It's all very confusing to me. I feel like a kindergartener. -_-

So, I was hoping someone more knowledgeable could either tell me if there's a way to get the DDS-Plugin for Mac Photoshop or walk me through how to install the one for GIMP. I'd really appreciate it because at this point I cannot create anything without that dang plugin and after days of searching google, MTS, and random other forums, I am at a loss!

It doesn't sound like you've read through the TS2/TS3 Tools and Utilities sticky here in this forum. It lists several different graphics programs/converters to handle dds images, as well as a tutorial for Mac users using GIMP and Aorta.

Actually, I have read through that. Although, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Tools and Utilities sticky."
But, the only one I could realistically make use of was Mono due to lack of money and resources. And I tried opening both PS and GIMP DDS-Plugins through Mono and as I expected, it didn't work.

But I downloaded GIMP and was able to open a .dds file with no problems so far so I guess the plugin was already included?
No such luck with Photoshop, however.

At this point, I've decided to try opening the .dds file in GIMP then copy and paste the image to PS and edit my stencil onto it there since PS is what I'm comfortable using and then when I'm done editing copy and paste it back into GIMP and continue from there. We'll see how it goes. =/
