Problem launching Sims 3 Showtime Problem?!!!?!

I have all of the expansions that have been released for the Sims 3. I only have one stuff pack, which is the fast lane. I've played with them all before. When the Sims 3 showtime released i installed because i pre-ordered it. Since downloading it NONE of my Sims games work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the games twice. It did nothing. I spoke with EA they didn't know what to do. Is any one else having this problem, or any advice please? Thank you everyone. and FYI all of the games are installed in order of release. Please help! I'm going crazy over here because I really want to play :(

I had the same problem, I uninstalled it and then just took it back and got Half-Life 2.

The only way to solve a problem is by troubleshooting. Uninstalling and giving up solves nothing. It can be fixed thru the process of elimination if one is willing to spend the time to work on it.

I've been troubleshooting since thursday. i called EA, they walked me through all of the troubleshooting techniques they could think of and nothing happened :(

Hey, man, I tried EVERYTHING. I was sitting there for a good half of a day and I was advised by a few people on here to just uninstall it and try reinstalling, but it wouldn't reinstall so I just said screw it and got something worth my money.

Well for starters you are being very vague. What does "it doesn't work" imply? Do you get the splash screen? Does it start to load then freeze? Are you using mods? Are you starting the game from the launcher? Do you let EA access the internet when you play? Do you have Origin installed? Are you FULLY patched? You can't just say it doesn't work and expect anyone to know how to help you. You might even want to list what EA asked you to do.

@DigitalSympathies: That's a registry issue, you would have needed to manually uninstall the game in your computers registry, there's an in depth tutorial on EA's site. Just a guess.

- well omegastarr i feel like your being a bit rude? there's not need to use that kind of tone. thanks though -__- anyway it doesn't load. nothing happens. origin is installed, all of my games are digital downloads. quite frankly i don't remember all of the things i did. we were on the phone for 45 minutes. So it's not like i wrote everything down, maybe i should have. too bad though. i have all patches that i know. i don't access EA while I play. I have no mods, and no CC. So hopefully i've answered your questions. no need for the smart *** reply though.
