Can't make Custom Roads

hi, i am new to CAW, now creating my 1st world. i've read how to place custom rods, but it just doesn't work. I did the following: pressed "create custom road" , then there was a window where I chose textures for roads, sidewalks, and intersections (I downloaded Bridgeport road textures dds files and placed them into UserToolData/SourceTextures). However, after I did it and started to lay roads, there was just default textures again. Tried this several times, still didn't work. Neither it did with road textures. Custom terrain paints work fine, roads don't. Am i doing something wrong?

Did you make sure that the custom road was actually selected when you placed the road? The game won't automatically select the custom road after you've put the textures in, and you will have to select it again each time you leave the road tool.

Yes, I selected my custom road before placing roads, but, no, doesn't work. :(

Can you show some screenshots perhaps? If we can see your dialog boxes it may be possible to see a problem, or at least to rule out any errors on your part.

Problem solved, I just doudle clicked on it, but then I tried to right-click and found the "Select road" option. Sorry for the noob question. :)
