Hello. I'm trying to fix a mesh in Milkshape 3D, so it would be compatible with breast slider. I know, that I have to assign it to breast joint, but the problem is I can't make smooth bone assignments. I couldn't find any tutorials that help with bone assignments, either. Sorry if this is a very vague request, but can anyone, please help me? I have been experimenting with that bone tool for a while, and I also tried directly from joints tab, but I still can't get them smooth! Thank you! :giggler:

The sims 2 Unimesh plugin also comes with a Bonetool, a bit more user friendly but not always working on windows 7.
That tool allows you to select a vertice and show its weights but it also lets you copy boneweights from a reference mesh.
So you basicly import your reference mesh first and then the mesh you want to fix.
You select the vertice close(or on top) of eachother and use the bonetool to copy and commit the weights.

Another tool from Wes H are his merge tools, these can do the same but copy also the vertex postion(and normals if you like)
The merge tool works very quickly in this case as it has it can be assigned to a short key.
Here is a tut:

Thanks, Bloom! But my god, it seems even more complicate that way, than learning how to make smooth transitions myself. :D

*edit: I tried following the tut, but I fail all the time. I get confused, since it's not originally made for hairs. Thanks anyway! :/

It works with any mesh, shoes, tops, body, accesory and hair files.
In your case you import a top and your custom hair.
Then select the vertex of the hair you want to adjust + the vertex of the top laying closest.
Visit the bonetool and copy the one from the top to the hair, thats all there is to it.
