View Full Version : How to import an object into the sims 2.

I have a custom mesh i want to import into the sims 2. (it's an .obj file) but when i try to open it in milkshape it can't import. what kind of file format does it need to be when import it into milkshape.

and also, where is the tutorial on how to import custom meshes for objects into the sims 2?
please help

Hi,
an .obj file is perfectly fine to import into a Sims2 package. The best thing to do is follow a general object-making tutorial. Once you are comfortable with the process you will see that it does not matter whether you use an in-game mesh or an external mesh. With the exception that in Milkshape you import it via the .OBJ importer and not the sim2 importer that's used for GMDCs exported from the package files.
