Increase abduction chances?

I have a sim that I really want to get abducted in hopes of getting an alien baby (I know I could do that with boolprop, but I want him to have the abduction memory). I have him looking through the biggest, most expensive telescope, but he's been looking through it all night for two nights in a row and still nothing. Is there anything I can do to increase his abduction chances?

2. You can download a hacked telescope that makes abductions more likely.

3. If you have freetime, and the sim in question is a knowledge sim, have him use the Summon Aliens bonus.

4. Keep stargazing and hope for the best. My sim Grzegorz was abducted without using anything I listed here but sheer luck. He's probably is the reason why I don't see males being the one to carry alien spawn as weird or gross. Technically, he was abducted twice, but his second was a whole 'nother story.

If you don't have freetime, but you do have apartment life or mansions and gardens as well as seasons, try stargazing in the spring. I noticed my knowledge sims getting abducted more often then, after I got mansions and gardens (which I got before apartment life and freetime). So I did a little study, four knowlege sims, 20 days each season (so 80 days in all). I can't remember the exact figures I got anymore. Just that they did get abducted somewhere between twice and three times as much during spring.

Without help, the chance for a 'natural' abduction is set very low. It increases every hour the sim watches (without a break) but even by the end of a night of uninterrupted star-gazing, the chance is still in single figures per hour. If you really want to force it, I'd go with Fivey's suggestions. The 2Jeffs hack is useful because you can alter the odds if you want to.

It took the Sim in my Apocalypse a good 15-20 nights of solid stargazing (the snapdragon helped) to get abducted. He had twin alien offspring though (boy/girl), so it was definitely worth the hassle.
