View Full Version : ND Skins and Muscle Sliders not working together

Hello! :D

So...I'm pretty sure I've browsed through the forum and the game help, cleaned my CC and tried some solutions for this problem but I just can't get it to work. :help:

So here's the problem. I have just downloaded some ND Skins (LemonLeaf's A3.0 and B3.0, Pralinesims 6.5 skins, S Club Privee's F1.0A, F1.0B, F1.0C) and installed them on my Documents/EA/Sims 3/Mods/ folder. I'm pretty sure it's correct, and well-copied and downloaded with no errors. :)

They show up in-game perfectly fine, but it just has this problem with the muscle definition slider. The slider just won't work on them. Sometimes it does, sometimes it won't. Whenever it works, every time I change clothes, hair, eyebrows, lipstick, eyeliner, face makeup, or blush, the tone vanishes. The slider, though, works perfectly on EA defaults. :jest:

So I thought maybe the skin was outdated... LL's A&B3.0 were published August 2011. S Club Privee skins were published just this May 2012 (definitely not outdated) and Pralinesims, I'm not too sure, there isn't a date written on the page but it's her latest release. Can someone verify this for me? I mean, if the skins are outdated and it's the cause of the problem?

If not, then does that mean I have some old CC that causes the tone to vanish? I mean, some old makeup CC that borks the slider? I used Delphy's Dashboard, Custard (to check on downloaded sims' sims3packs), Sims3PE, and even TSR Merlin to check on all my CCs and not a trace of conflict. I tried using TSR's RigFix, but apparently it only works with furnitures - so there's no way in that. I have definitely updated all of my mods to the latest. I'm just not sure about aWt's custom sliders if they're updated or not. Could it be the sliders' fault? I tried to get rid of the sliders before, but the problem still exists. :wtf:

On the other hand, is it possible that some furnitures are the actual cause of the problem? Can it? I have downloaded a few lots that came packaged with some custom furnitures from mango, and quite a lot of other creators.

I already reset everything to factory settings. I'm just at the point of finding out why my skins wont work, and well, I can't find the problem really. Or is it that my system wont read the muscle definition slider anymore? But then it gets to work at times...

I have ALL EPs and SPs, updated to patch 1.33 (and all other patches per EP and SP) and I've done the 1x1 elimination process already. I'm going to do it over again :Pint: and will update you if something comes up. But if any of you guys know the answer to this, please do reply. Thank you!

I apologize for the really LONG post.

*EDIT*
Here's an image showing what's wrong: :deal:
first photo: EA skin at min muscle definition
second photo: EA skin at max muscle definition
third photo: changed EA skin to Lemonleaf's at min muscle definition
fourth photo: Lemonleaf's at max muscle definition
fifth photo: Just decided to change the hair... then voila! The definition is GONE. :( It happens even when it's the skin that I have just changed previously so that makes changing the skin the last step of CAS the same - it just kills the muscle definition once I'm in-game, or even when I change from everyday to any other category.
