So, I may have borked my game and might need a reinstall. I worry about the availability of patches now that sims 2 is largely unsupported, at least from what I've heard. Will I be able to patch my game if I uninstall/reinstall?
My game was running fine up until today. This morning I attempted to make my game large address aware but it just made everything a million times worse. The game became choppy and stuttered. It often becomes nonresponsive. Luckily, or so I thought, I had created a backup of the exe before doing any sort of changes to it, but even after restoring the original exe it continues to behave badly. I'm not sure what caused this, whether it was the attempt at LAA or what, but I know it worked perfectly last night and this morning and then it just stopped earlier today. I have not installed any CC or changed any files except for the LAA attempt. --;
Anyways, will I be able to reinstall? I'm not too worried about losing my hoods since I had, quite literally, just restarted them all with clean templates, so I won't be losing much. I just don't want to uninstall a 100% patched game for an unsupported, unpatched one.
