I am having trouble getting my game to load. I am going to list what I did from start to finish.

1. Installed The Sims 2 Bon Voyage until it got to 86% then it put errors up on the screen.

2. Took the files straight off the disk and put them in the correct directories.

3. Tested and failed. Got to the neighborhoods screen and it shut the Sims out.

3. Deleted all of my downloads, sims, and neighborhoods.

4. Tested and failed. Got to the neighborhoods screen and it shut the sims out again.

5. Found out I was missing a few files and put them in the directories.

6. Ran the game again and it failed. This time it said it was missing files.

Other info: I have the game installed on my SD card which is 8GB. I also don't have The Sims 2: Double Deluxe available because I only had it loaned to me for 2 weeks.

Someone help me! I am at my wits end! Thank you if you can help me!

Edit: I also tried cleaning the disk multiple times.

First, you need to buy any games that you want to play. We can't support pirated games.

Second, it looks like your BV disk may be bad. Try following the standard manual install procedure:

The manual install procedure involves copying the files from the DVD to your hard drive, then running the standard installation procedure. Just copying the files is not enough, since the game will also require all of the registry entries.

Its not pirated it was my friends game that he bought from the store.

I will try that.

Edit: Thank you! It finally works!

Oh, I was thinking about when you download it off the internet and use it. My bad!
