Is there a mod or a cheat code which allows you to type in the name of a sim and be taken to the location of this sim? I have story progression mods on and I'm trying to correct recurring problems like sims not going to work and school but I can't find them and I have way too many sims in this neighborhood to go door-to-door.

Anyone else working on optimizing the progression of a neighborhood - I want lots of rich, skilled VIPs in my neighborhood - and have a different strategy for working outside the home? Maybe just switching the active family and then watching them..but that would still require me to find them on a very dense neighborhood map.

Twallans MasterController is very helpful for this:

There are a few methods to track down Sims about town, one I used IIRC was clicking on their house on the map and from a menu choosing to 'focus' on them and the camera will snap to them wherever they are in town, even if they're in a rabbit hole. I think his Overwatch mod might also be able to address the issues you're having with Sims not going to work/school, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Never really tried optimizing the progression of a neighbourhood. The most I usually do is add an 'Addams Family' of Vampires, SimBots, Egyptian Mummies, (playable) Ghosts and Imaginary Friends into one household and give them special jobs from Ambitons and such that isn't typical of standard neighbourhoods to mix things up a bit but so far that's about it. Harley-Davidson riding Mummies who roar into town and freak everyone out should live in every town.
